Stumbled upon this place and so glad we did. What a great place this is. We were served by Angela and she was above and beyond friendly. Large place with cold drinks and what a great vibe with continuous great music playing. Also, there is a ton to do here. Pool tables, darts, arcade games and more. DJ on weekend nights with fun dancing and continuous great vibe. Looking for fun, stop in here. Great place. We will be back. I highly recommend this place.

Terrible. First time visitor. Met the owner because the bar refused to pay out a win less than $111. Pathetic. At the end of the day an excuse is just an excuse. After winning a measly $110 ticket I took ticket to bar and asked to be cashed out, instead I was told to come back the following day 16 hours later for my payout. I asked for the owner to be called, instead I was threatened by a brunette bartender who was low class extremely disrespectful, she told me I was banned from the establishment and that I could come back tomorrow. When I explained I was going to call the police if I wasn’t paid she responded holding the payout saying she was paying me from her own pocket and was gong to call the police. STAY AWAY FROM BOTH ADJACENT BARS. Tavern on 1st is where it happened “The wreck “owned by same owner. If an owner cannot provide a safe environment for its patrons and allows their employees to threaten guests and practice illegal activity and not even have the decency to make the employee apologize- then it doesn’t deserve any visitors or $ HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND

Sunday night 11/16/2025 maybe around 11PM, a younger female served me maybe in her mid 20’s brown hair, I came in with my uncle and we each got a long island drink, i cant remember the exact total but i’m guessing it was around 23$ and i was charged that amount immediately on my card. The next morning i woke up and the total on my card that was charged went up 10 more dollars. She made me sign the receipt and i did but i left the tip part BLANK. I did not leave any tip i left it blank AGAIN. because we were only staying for 30 minutes and i am not the one to tip for you pouring me just ONE drink, on top of that thats the reason they have a BOSS, who pays them. I don’t care if they are not paid enough, they CHOSE that job and who tips tips, who doesn’t doesn’t but from me you are not getting a tip for making me A drink. This is not the first time this has happened i used to come there every weekend a year ago and i stopped for THAT reason. MANY reviews say similar things as me. When i used to come a year ago a man was working he served me a drink and i didn’t tip him for the first one and when i tried to get the second one he didn’t want to give me a drink & told others not to serve me anything because i didn’t tip, ALSO was telling other people ordering about the situation.( SHIMON BENSON) Just VERY unprofessional and begging for money literally. If you want to do that go downtown under the bridge sit there and open your hands and beg for money or get a better job and get paid more because with serving/bartending you know what it comes with, not everyone will tip you just for pouring a drink. Also, nobody answers the phones there is no way to contact them but it’s okay, maybe before i let it slide but this time i will make SURE to take this to a much further level because this is all sorts of wrong and disrespectful and y’all will be sued.

extremely rude and unkind doormen. i thought i left something at the bar and went back to check the next night when they were open again. i made a poor driving choice and was asked to leave the property because i “didn’t seem well” – he insinuated that i was drunk driving which is absolutely false, as i was stone cold sober and have been at home watching a movie with family. i was simply trying to turn my car around. he yelled at me twice when i was being friendly and just trying to get my wallet when i made a traffic mistake. absolutely unhelpful and just a nasty experience. While the bar was fun, the people are just really rude for no reason.

There a young lady hair with brown hair just so rude never checked in on us at all served people before us just texted people on her phone before helping us the bar is not bad but need to get better bar tinders ruined my night it’s like she hates us has to call her name multiple times to get a drink and yes I started a tab I love tipping people for good service it’s like she hated us from the start we said hi to her just looked at us said nothing please fix this p(psa there was a nice one there with black hair and tattoos she was super sweet)

Tavern is a great venue with live music, great drinks for amazing deals! My experience was elevated that much more upon discovering that they offer a portable charger phone app! I was able to charge my phone that was on 1%, allowing me to uber home safely and have the security of my phone being charged!!! Charge Up Jax made my experience safe and more enjoyable- a great an innovative addition to the establishment!

If you are in town visiting and looking for a place to play some pool and a drink, avoid this place at all costs.
In town for the NFL game and tried to go here, won’t accept out of state ID, wants a passport. My wife and I thought it was a joke at first, the fact I’m over 40 and old enough to be the kids dad who asked for my ID is just comical.
I know a few people back in my day who would have a fake ID so I understand some hesitation, however I never known anyone under 21 who would get a fake ID that says they are 40, most stay in 20s to make it believable.

Was pretty jam packed on a Saturday. Of course it was free and atmosphere was very nice. Mixed crowd and music for everyone LITERALLY this is just the dance floor alone. Now imagine how many people aren’t dancing and walking around the dance floor it has an arcade and smoking area with city views.

I loved this place. Always stop here and have a beer or something to drink. It is very spacious and there are a couple of pool tables to play .I wish the Dj played better music.
