The food is always fresh, and honestly, everything I’ve ever ordered off the menu has been phenomenal. I really wish I had taken pictures of our appetizers because they were that good. We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and the pretzel bites with cheese and apples. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly filling, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor—the aftertaste was amazing, too. The portion size was also very generous. The pretzel bites are one of my all-time favorite appetizers here: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, tasting super fresh, and paired perfectly with the delicious cheese. They’re always a go-to.
For the entrée, we got the mac & cheese with grilled chicken, and it never disappoints. I order it almost every time I come because it’s absolutely delicious. The cheese isn’t overly heavy like some restaurant mac & cheese, but it still has incredible flavor. The portion size is huge as well, which is always a plus. One thing I really love is that if you mention you’re splitting a dish, they’ll bring it out already divided into two bowls—literally perfect, and they do this for a lot of menu items. The picture shows what it looks like as a full meal and it’s a big portion to. I love how they begin the oven with crispy Parmesan on top. It just brings so much more flavor.
Overall, it’s an amazing place to grab a drink, share a meal, enjoy a few appetizers, or go out with a group of friends. It’s always a must-visit for me.
With its welcoming ambiance and friendly staff, this casual spot offers a satisfying culinary experience. Our large group of 14 was accommodated effortlessly, and our food arrived promptly and accurately.
The fried pickles, piping hot initially, became irresistible as they cooled. The cool and refreshing Greek salad, generously portioned, was a perfect complement. Its well-seasoned dressing and creamy feta cheese added a burst of flavor.
I also ordered the nachos on our first visit. These things are huge well worth sharing the guacamole is also really good.
The exceptional service at Tavern in the Square deserves special mention. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable. Whether you’re planning a date night or a casual gathering, add Tavern in the Square to your list for great food and exceptional hospitality.
Ordered up the espresso Martini at the recommendation of my friend who said they were really good here. Also ordered the buffalo cauliflower and a grilled chicken caesar salad. The buffalo cauliflower was insanely great. Great amount of heat and perfectly coated and cooked just right. Really great flavor. I would get that again and again and again. The chicken caesar salad was also really good. Chicken was grilled up nicely with the grill marks and all. Very most and delicious!
Service was spot on. Very attentive, fast, and friendly. Love the layout of this place. I will definitely be back whenever I’m visiting the area again.
Huge bar w/tons of high tops in the bar area.
Our bartenders Griffin and Kyle were terrific! They put the word Service back in the service industry…. something we see lacking more and more when we go out.
Griffin gave us some recommendations and two of them hit home with us. We had the steak salad and the black and blue burger (but subbed out pepper jack cheese for the blue cheese).
Both the burger and steak were cooked to perfect temps (Thx kitchen!!) Delicious!
We immediately made plans to come back again with several friends and sit at one of the high tops.
The only disappointment was the delicious Guava be Kidding margarita drink I had was so tiny I think it was gone in three sips.
It was served in a small rocks glass. I wanted six more but at that price/size there was no way.
