I came here with my boyfriend. It was amazing. The service was great; our hostess seated us quickly. Our waiter was very nice and got our order in quickly. We ordered the pot roast nachos. They were amazing. Great taste and great portions for only $8 (happy hour price). For our main course, we got the chicken sandwich. It had a nice crispness, and the bun didn’t fall apart after the first bite. Fries were nice and crispy and well seasoned. I will be coming here again!

Wow! What friendliness and attention to detail. Johnny, our server, was on top of everything. I had a perfectly cooked filet with yam and maple-butter. My son had a great double cheeseburger and my wife loved her French dip. The Chowder was great and so was the bread. A nice, casual atmosphere and a large bar Selection made the place a hit with us.

I finally made it to The Tavern as I have been researching it. I believe their rating should be a bit higher than 4.2. I had the chicken satay and that was almost a meal by itself from the appetizer menu. It was very tasty and the peanut Thai sauce was pretty good. I ordered the tavern dip and it was spot on. It was very tender and the sandwich was loaded with meat. I could not even finish it. My waitress was Grace and she was perfect checking in on me as she was working a pretty busy amount of people there. I would recommend The Tavern for a good meal and service.

My daughter and I thought we would try it for a quick lunch. We ended up staying longer just because the atmosphere was so wonderful. We both ended up ordering appetizers for our meals. My daughter order the steamed clams cooking some wine sauce definitely enough to fill you belly she loved them. The she wanted a type of martini they did not serve but the bartender made her one and it was perfect. Me I had the coconut shrimp. OK so. Good and almost a prawn it was so large. My lemon drop martini was perfect. Will go back.

Love this place! Cozy booths and yummy food. Hubby and I split a Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. He also had a side salad and I had a cup of chowder. All of it was delicious.

Best French Dip sandwich ever according to my wife. Salmon was good, not spectacular but just good.

Back again. Absolute BEST CLAM CHOWDER in Idaho. Really, my wife and I loved it.

Salmon was better this time. It went from good to great.

My family of 4 and I had a nice time here. Everything was delicious with minor complaints. The short rib was REALLY greasy for $50. It was in a puddle of grease and dripped off the fork. We weren’t even given silverware until after the food arrived. We could not find the non alcoholic drinks on any menu but our waitress was able to tell us what they had. There was a bit long of a wait between ordering my kids food and ours but I understand that they wouldn’t know if we were ready or when. Otherwise, as much as this isnt my families cup of tea, it’s a comfortable establishment with good food and kind employees.

Maddie was an AMAZING waitress!
She gave great suggestions, my glass was never empty, she had a bright and cheery personality! The food was delicious!
Our appetizer was the Manila Clams? I think that’s what it was called.
My husband and I had the halibut, oh gosh is was so good! My aunt had the salmon, she loved it!
The atmosphere was calm and social… It wasn’t loud, we could carry on a conversation and just enjoy our dining experience…..
We definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning next time we come to the area.
Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the bathroom situation was not ideal.
The bathrooms were not clean and I ended up having to use the men’s room because someone was locked up in the ladies room…

We were really disappointed as we’ve been thinking about going here for a while. The food was bland at best and inedible in some cases. The chicken “breast” was over cooked, dry and the sauce was flavorless. It was also either tenderloin not breast or breast cut into pieces. The baked potato was under cooked and cold. The “wagyu” steak on the dip sandwich was dry and hard to chew. Extra charge for a drink with the kids grilled cheese cost half as much as the meal itself. (Kids grilled cheese with fruit was $5.00, drink was $2.50). All in all it was not a great experience. The only saving grace was the wait staff and the beef vegetable soup.
