Service was excellent. Nina was attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaging with her guests… the kind of service that makes you want to come back.
Highly recommend stopping by Tavern 5 if you’re nearby or local. Solid food, thoughtful prep, and standout hospitality.
I had the Tavern 5 burger and it was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend.
2 of the 3 of us ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. I imagined the crispy chicken part would be a big juicy piece of fried chicken. When I picked it up, the bun was hot, the fries were hot, but the inside of the sandwich was warm at best. The second bite was just cold..which is fine- again it tasted good. But both of the sandwiches were hot on the outside and cold on the inside.
Our waitress, Samantha, immediately came over and took the cold sandwiches away and put in an order for new ones. A manager also stopped by to apologize and we were delivered brand new hot sandwiches. Again, service is FANTASTIC. The crispy chicken part, not so much. Instead of a house made juicy piece of fried chicken, it seems much more like a frozen breaded piece of chicken cut in half then thrown on a beautiful bun disguised by good bacon, cheese, and sauce. Yes, it tasted good – but the quality wasn’t there.
The cream of mushroom soup, on the other hand, was out of this world. (And I don’t even like mushrooms). Overall- drinks good, service awesome, most of the food fantastic.
