Overall Rating and is it worth a visit: 8 to 8.25/10 and Yes. Situated right in the heart of downtown Nederland, this is a unique spot that was a brewery first and has added a smokehouse option to it. While the beers may have been the original focus, the barbecue also delivers and making it a great spot to stop after a day hike in the mountains or a winter skiing session at Eldora. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the entire place has a nice laid-back atmosphere, accentuated by being perched right along a river that trickles by as you dine or drink. Solid small town mountain vibes, with steel features, custom wood, ledges, and historic skis and split boards adorning the walls. While it might not be the best barbecue in the state, its atmosphere, ambience, and overall experience make it a worthwhile stop if you’re in the area and craving a bite and a beer. Would absolutely come back if in the area, both for the BBQ and the in-house pours. Reasonably priced as well with the combo plates, so while you do have the option to order meats individually, I would recommend ordering one of the combination platters for the better value. And even though the beer is certainly the focus here, this is a solid mountain BBQ option to stop at as well. Full review at The House of Salt & Smoke website

Buon Giorno, my name is Christopher.
( Chricenzio ) Italian American chef from New York. I have consulted many bbq restaurants thoroughly the country from New York to Alaska and you guys are top notch. I’m from New Mexico my friend is from Boulder Co, she recommended we try Busey Brews again. We had brisket smoked turkey green chili stew a red chili dish it was a fabulous. my friend doesn’t care for too much salt so the chili was a wee bit salty. But every else was awesome. The smashed potatoes were incredible. The prices were too cheap in my opinion. The service was awesome. The sell a few logo hats, bottle openers etc. so tourist me bought two. And the bill was under a hundred bucks. Should have been 120. The souvenirs were to be paid to a third party vendor via a simple QR code honor system. My daughter and BF love the gifts. I thank my Boulder Phd student friend a bunch for suggesting the busey brew. I can’t wait to revisit, oh standard poodle Ghiadda loved the over portions of brisket and smoked turkey that was moist

Overall, amazing place! It’s a great atmosphere with live music and free popcorn!! The food is great, amazing brisket and cornbread, and the wings were incredible. Service loses .5 only because they make you order with a website, which I have never been a fan of, but the waiters were very nice. And the price was great, food to money spent ratio was definitely good. Also had a few drinks, few were good.
So summary:
• Food – really good, 5 stars
• Atmosphere – popcorn alone won me over, 5 stars
• Service – really nice, just slightly annoying ordering system, 4.5 stars
• Drinks – 5 stars
• Price – actually very good! 5 stars

They have a ‘Power Hour’ (3-4pm, when the kitchen is closed), but you can get bites and cheap excellent brews whilst waiting for the kitchen to open. After this is ‘Happy Hour’ Mon-Fri (4-6pm)!

Chips ‘n’ Salsa, House smoked wings, House smoked BBQ platter, beers and the Jack Rabbit Hill wines were all excellent.

A very beautiful location, vibe, patio, and thankfully they also offered moist towelettes, unlike so many places that offer wings and ribs!

Excellent service from the very entertaining Mo. Certainly worth my drive up from Boulder.

Great BBQ and beer. They have a large, heated, screened porch. Good place to stop after skiing and let traffic clear out for a bit.

Neat little place. Food was good. Atmosphere was fine. The patio area was nice to have as the inside is small. Prices are on par.

Stopped here for dinner after driving through the mountains all day.
Mountains-5 stars. Love mountains.
My wife and I shared a dinner. Had brisket and turkey and we added ribs.
$14 seems like a lot for the amount of ribs we got.
Good was good all the way around. Red brisket chili was very good. Might be too spicy if you are sensitive to that. All the meats were good.
Nice atmosphere.
Service is a little different. You place your order after scanning a QR code and then someone brings your meal out.
We sat in the back which is partially open to the outside where you can see, that’s right, mountains.

I love this place. Delicious bbq and beers! Great vibe anf customer service. What more could you ask for after a long day of snowboarding/skiing at Eldora? I usually leave pics but I was just too hungry.

After a long day on the slopes, we stopped by Busey for a bite and a beer and were immediately greeted by Mo. They brew their own beer, and the food is top-notch. We went for the dry rub wings and the blackened chicken sandwich special, paired with a rich and creamy broccoli cheddar soup—everything hit the spot. The outdoor seating has QR codes for easy ordering, but we opted for table service with Mo, who was fantastic. The rest of the team also checked in on us, making for an all-around great experience. If you’re in the area and craving great food and hospitality, this is the spot to hit.
