Dined in after a golf event here and was pleased. We had a party of 12 and we accommodated very well. The service was great the food was delicious and the waitress was lovely. I ordered Cabernet Savoign Blac, blackened chicken street tacos with steak fries. Very delicious. Everyone’s meals were played lovely .

We read reviews on this place where one reviewer said the Tavern Burger was “juicy and velvety”, so we gave it a try as takeout. Our burgers were VERY bland, DRY, and overcooked (we ordered medium and got nearly well done). We also upgraded the fries to truffle fries, which were salty, and the aioli was jarred mayo (you know the difference) lacking truffle oil. I ordered a side of fried green tomatoes, which was surprisingly delicious with thick slices and crispy coating. Needless to say, Tavern 19 is no longer on my radar…this was the worst burger I’ve ever had!

We came there because my sister and her friends had had lunch there and thought it was good. We almost didn’t come in because there was only one couple there, and they were at the bar. An employee saw us hesitate and invited us in. It was a slow night despite it being a big football night. Anyway, we sat where we wanted and had the place to ourselves. The nice couple at the bar made conversation,but soon left. We had the shrimp Bahnmi and a salad and the cheesecake and fres. Food was hot and good. About 3 people came in for pick up orders while we were there. I would love to try their pizza and barbecue, so I believe I will be back.

Decent pub style restaurant within the Independence Golf Club clubhouse. Food is good with a decent menu & beer selection, friendly staff, and avg. prices, but the atmosphere of Tavern 19 is a bit lacking … definitely not on par with the rest of the property.
