I had the lunch portion ricotta based lasagna(super YUM)– and a salad. I ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer, my waiter didn’t bring me any rolls because he felt I already had a lot of food..lol…I didn’t complain, I should have asked for some since I orded lasagna to go. The mushroom soup was amazing!! The bits of carrots really enhanced the flavor..before Lent is over I hope to take advantage of the all-you-can eat perch…I believe it is served with 2 sides.
Continued success! TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia
We ordered the usual fare of pasta with soup, salad and bread which were all great especially the soups and the roast peppers. But what caught my eye and really enjoyed were the chicken livers. I ordered fried (can get it sautéed) and the breading was great. I know it is an acquired taste, but hey, for all of you that love ‘em, come here! You won’t be disappointed. The owners are great hosts. They chatted with us as well as with other diners. They do banquets as well and they have a big room in their restaurant for this. Decent prices for the amount and quality of food you get, but if you come in between 3:30pm to 6pm (Wed to Sat), you can avail of their early bird pricing.
Service was polite and quick. Ample parking. There is a lot of history in this restaurant/family. Come for the great food and chat with the owners if you can. Highly recommended!
They need to do something about their bread… our bread basket consisted of some dinner rolls which appeared to have just been supermarket rolls, and they weren’t even warmed up. That didn’t lead to a good first impression for our meal.
We were very satisfied with the service. Our server was Jane; she was the only server on duty and they had more customers than they had expected, and we thought Jane did an outstanding job.
We hope to have a better experience next time.
If you like good food and a friendly atmosphere, one where the people put care into their restaurant, this is the place where you will find that. It is my second time coming here, and the first time was just as good. I plan to come back as soon as I’m able and I have no doubt it will still be great.
The main problem was the food and horrible service. I ordered the veal parm. The cheese on top was burnt to the point of it being black. My wife got the stuffed shells. It was just meat and no ricotta.
The lady waiting on us seemed very irritated to be doing her job and had a horrible attitude.
This place may used to be good. And clearly they are hanging on to the older clientele. There was not a person in there under 80.
Overall a horrible experience for my family and especially my daughters birthday dinner.
What a fantastic place.
Friendly staff with the owner on site. We asked about the name TAT and the founder’s granddaughter came to our table giving us a history of the restaurant. You certainly don’t get that at the chain pizza places.
We started with a bowl of minestrone soup that was very tasty.
Ordered a specialty pizza, the godfather, which only came in large sized. Absolutely delicious!!
Took a piece of chocolate cake home along with half of the pizza.
Loaded edge to edge with veggies, cheese, and meat. We liked the corn meal crunchy texture on the bottom. Not a soggy pizza like some places. But a nice crispy crust but not like you’d crack a tooth.
Lots of parking available.
We will be back to try some other menu items.
