I haven’t dined at TAT in over 4yrs…why, I just don’t know because the food is just as scrumptious as it was alll those years b4. I also noticed their menu had been updated and it was just as clean as it was b4–a lot of places thats been in business over 25 yrs let the interior fade so glad this owner/family still show their pride in all they do. I met one of the owners- over 4 years ago– she is an ageless beauty! It was wonderful conversing about the restaurant and the neighborhood.
I had the lunch portion ricotta based lasagna(super YUM)– and a salad. I ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer, my waiter didn’t bring me any rolls because he felt I already had a lot of food..lol…I didn’t complain, I should have asked for some since I orded lasagna to go. The mushroom soup was amazing!! The bits of carrots really enhanced the flavor..before Lent is over I hope to take advantage of the all-you-can eat perch…I believe it is served with 2 sides.

Continued success! TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia

Always great to dine in classic italian family owned restaurants and TAT Ristorante Di Famiglia doesn’t disappoint. Located in the Linwood area of Mid East Cols, this family has been running their restaurant business for over 96 years and they are still going strong.
We ordered the usual fare of pasta with soup, salad and bread which were all great especially the soups and the roast peppers. But what caught my eye and really enjoyed were the chicken livers. I ordered fried (can get it sautéed) and the breading was great. I know it is an acquired taste, but hey, for all of you that love ‘em, come here! You won’t be disappointed. The owners are great hosts. They chatted with us as well as with other diners. They do banquets as well and they have a big room in their restaurant for this. Decent prices for the amount and quality of food you get, but if you come in between 3:30pm to 6pm (Wed to Sat), you can avail of their early bird pricing.
Service was polite and quick. Ample parking. There is a lot of history in this restaurant/family. Come for the great food and chat with the owners if you can. Highly recommended!

We had a very mixed experience here on Jan 30, 2026. We first ordered an appetizer pizza, which came out a lot faster than we expected, and it was delicious. For our entrees, my wife ordered baked rigatoni, which she said was delicious, and the portion was generous. Our side salads were generous and delicious, and their Italian dressing was to die for. Our minestrone soup was delicious. However, my entree was lasagna, which was delicious, but it was the smallest portion I have *ever* received at an Italian restaurant, and we had ordered the dinner portion too; further, it came out barely lukewarm; quite disappointing.

They need to do something about their bread… our bread basket consisted of some dinner rolls which appeared to have just been supermarket rolls, and they weren’t even warmed up. That didn’t lead to a good first impression for our meal.

We were very satisfied with the service. Our server was Jane; she was the only server on duty and they had more customers than they had expected, and we thought Jane did an outstanding job.

We hope to have a better experience next time.

I took my wife here for our Valentine’s dinner last night, we got there around 6:45 not realizing that they closed at 8. But the staff, they are the best. We were seated immediately, the manager was friendly and warm. He made sure to let us know if there was anything he could do, or if there was an issue with our order that he would make it right. There was no need, the food was as excellent as the service.

If you like good food and a friendly atmosphere, one where the people put care into their restaurant, this is the place where you will find that. It is my second time coming here, and the first time was just as good. I plan to come back as soon as I’m able and I have no doubt it will still be great.

The most iconic restaurant in Columbus with the best food and service staff around. Don’t let the location stop you from going worth the drive. The pasta is amazing! The pizza is the best around hands down pep and cheese well done is my jam. the owner is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet she actually cares about your dinning experience. My favorite place of all time been going there since I was a child. Thank you guys sincerely Phil Tudor

I took my daughter here for her birthday. I told the host it was her birthday. And no one even acknowledged her birthday. Not that big of a deal though just very unthougtful.
The main problem was the food and horrible service. I ordered the veal parm. The cheese on top was burnt to the point of it being black. My wife got the stuffed shells. It was just meat and no ricotta.
The lady waiting on us seemed very irritated to be doing her job and had a horrible attitude.
This place may used to be good. And clearly they are hanging on to the older clientele. There was not a person in there under 80.
Overall a horrible experience for my family and especially my daughters birthday dinner.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I seriously order the homemade gnocchi once a week. Every single time it’s perfect! As a small business owner myself, I love to support another small business putting their best forward each time! Highly highly recommend!!

Our waitress Anna, couldn’t have been more accommodating. Above and beyond our every request. The food was also superb. Everyone in our 12 person group went away happy.

When you walk through the doors you can tell this restaurant is family owned. The restaurant feels very cozy, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great, my wife and I really enjoyed the spaghetti. We’re typically underwhelmed by spaghetti at most Italian restaurants, but the tomato sauce here is very flavorful! The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is also good, nothing special though Just good. My wife enjoyed her Chicken cacciatore a lot! I have to say it was really good, the pasta and sauce were excellent. Also if you get a full sized portion here it comes with soup and salad. For our salads we chose Italian dressing of course! It was house made, and we loved it. The dressing felt very light but it was still bursting with flavor. You also get complimentary bread, and I almost forgot to mention that there are free desserts on Sundays! You have the choice between chocolate cake or pumpkin pie, so you will undoubtedly leave this restaurant feeling full! This cozy restaurant is great for just a night out, or for a family affair.

We read an article about the best pizza places in Columbus. We happened to be in the area so we thought we would try it.
What a fantastic place.
Friendly staff with the owner on site. We asked about the name TAT and the founder’s granddaughter came to our table giving us a history of the restaurant. You certainly don’t get that at the chain pizza places.
We started with a bowl of minestrone soup that was very tasty.
Ordered a specialty pizza, the godfather, which only came in large sized. Absolutely delicious!!
Took a piece of chocolate cake home along with half of the pizza.
Loaded edge to edge with veggies, cheese, and meat. We liked the corn meal crunchy texture on the bottom. Not a soggy pizza like some places. But a nice crispy crust but not like you’d crack a tooth.
Lots of parking available.
We will be back to try some other menu items.
