It was reasonably priced and food tasted good. The waitress didn’t speak much english so it was hard to communicate. It took them over an hour to get us the food and it wasn’t very busy either. I will recommend this place because of the taste and generous portions.

The new chef has made all the difference. This place is cooking up some exceptional grub now. The mango curry was outstanding — there must have been two whole mangoes in there along with a half pound of chicken. Great value. Great flavor.

We went to this place for the first time a year ago (June 2017) and loved it. Forgot what we had ordered back then, but it was good. Went for the second time this week (June 2018). Got the braised shank off their “new” menu for about 14 bucks. It was almost all bone and fat, and hardly any meat. My wife made a comment to the waitress about it, she politely said she would ask the chef, and word back from the chef was: that is what is to be expected. I dunno, maybe it’s a cultural thing? The only other hunger-fighting items on the plate was a cup of rice and one pickled egg, cut in half. So I left there very hungry, and had to make something else to eat when I got home. Bottom line: if you are expecting meat when you order a meat-based dinner at this place, we recommend that you first ask how much meat you will actually get, before you order it. Wifey got the Pad Thai, said it was okay, but it was not anything to go out of your way for. Maybe we’ll try again a year from now…?

Tasty Thai is living up to their name – Tasty! My boyfriend and I *LOVE* the fried rice and vegan options too. It’s the best homemade food with quality ingredients. And, I love the fact that they don’t have a cruel tiny fish tank inside the lobby area – which always makes me feel bad for the fish at other restaurants. They are animal friendly and have an amazing chef. The food is totally worth the prices! Yum!

Been here a couple times now and never disappointed! Her Tom yum gai is delicious and perfectly balanced. The Jungle fish we had tonight was outstanding and the curries are very good with the green curry being one of my favorites-bright and flavorful.

My family has been coming to York in August for 19 years. We always order Chinese or Thai take out from different restaurants in the area, just because it’s easy, but in all that time this is the first place we have found that actually had really good food. Everyone in my family was sitting at the table talking about how good their food was, and I have personally lived in Bangkok for 3 years as a teacher, I know how real Thai food tastes. We will definitely be coming back here!

Surprisingly disappointed
*Please note that all reviews about this Restaurant previous to January 1st 2016 are for previous owners and different cooks*

I rate every Thai restaurant I go to and have tried almost all in the seacoast area. It is my favorite food!

I ordered out got the same things I get everywhere: drunken noodle, Tom khan soup and fresh rolls.

The food;
Spring rolls were average/good, thick pasty duping sauce. 3 of 5 stars.

Soup was not tom kha as I have ever had it horrible recipe. Likely the cook is from the eastern region as they typically make more sour Tom Kha then western Thailand who are known more for the coconut base with lime (which I love) regardless it’s really bad either way 0 of 5 stars.

Drunk noodle tasted like the water of bamboo shoots, had almost no distinct tasted and was horrible but did give good amounts of meat. It was bad 0 of 5 stars.

Cost was about 5-7$ more for my meal then any other Thai restaurant I go to. I know, because I get the same thing. 2 of 5 stars.

Because I picked it up, I cannot rate service but inside looks nice.

While driving North on our summer trip, we planned to stop for a late lunch/early dinner once we hit Maine. A quick peek at Google Maps showed us that there was a Thai place right off the highway that looked like a great spot for a meal and be back on our way. While small, the restaurant doesn’t feel cramped; there was another family a few tables away, and we couldn’t hear them, and we had plenty of room for our three-year old to throw his toys on the floor without affecting anyone. The restaurant was neat and clean, with a tasteful décor, so we had the impression that the owner took pride in the place, and hopefully it would show in the food…

…and it did! Coming from Boston, there are many Thai places in and around the city, and while each has its own relative strengths, there’s a general sameness in a lot of the dishes, and I can’t really distinguish one place’s style of cooking from another. At Tasty Thai, we ordered the Pad Thai (of course!), Som Tum salad, Tod Mun, and Tom Yum soup. My American self can’t really say what the exact ingredients were that gave each dish its flavor, but the only way to describe it is a freshness with a unique taste. I’d remember the Pad Thai, and could pick it out of a line-up against the places I’m used to, and the Som Tum had a powerful kick. I wasn’t expecting a salad to pack such a punch, but I’m hooked. The service was friendly (it was an off-peak time of day, so there was only one person working in the front), and the prices were reasonable. I would have stopped by on the way home for some take-out, but they were closed. I don’t usually write many online reviews, but I was just surprised to find such a nice little place off the highway driving through Maine.
