Sacramento is very fortunate to have its fair share of Hawaiian BBQ restaurants. And this place, “Tasty Hawaiian BBQ” is no exception. In fact, it is one of the better spots I’ve eaten at in comparison to the more popular places such as “L&L” and “Ono”. Located in the South Natomas area of Sacramento, Tasty Hawaiian BBQ has been in business since 2018. The best way to find this place is that it is right off of Northgate Blvd. and tucked in between the Arden-Garden connector and W. El Camino Ave. The parking lot is shared with several small business as well as a 99 Cents Only Store.

My coworkers and I grab lunch here probably once a week. I work nearby. Most of their lunch plates a $10 and a lot of food. It’s nothing too special (typical Hawaiian BBQ). The staff is kind and friendly and a family group I suspect. Absolutely worth a visit and I’ve yet to have a disappointing lunch experience here.

We ordered the bbq chicken and beef combo plate and the bbq beef plate and was quite disappointed with the food. The chicken was bland and the beef was salty and dry. It lacked hawaiian flavor. We had high hopes for this place with all the 4 and 5 star rating. Do not recommend coming here. You will be disappointed. Better off Ono.
