Note to self: don’t come back. Grilled jerk chicken came with a red sauce that I didn’t ask for, and while the chicken was spicy it was still under seasoned; the plantains were overcooked and overripe, the vegetables were mushy, and the rice taste like minute rice. Do not come back.

This is the best place to go in Snellville for some good, and I do mean very good food. They also sell healthy products that are essential for the body. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out on something wonderful.

I’ve been going here for over 10 years. Food is always fresh and Always friendly and they have the best plantain hands down although I shouldn’t be sharing this info because he sells out fast and it’ll be harder for me to get. Lol. Please support.

Want to take a trip to Jamaica, just to eat REAL Jamaican food?

That is the experience you will have at Tastee’s. For years, the owner and master cook does jerk chicken the REAL Jamaican way. He uses real Hickory wood for smoke and taste, that is how it should be done in America. Pimento wood ia used in Jamaica because it is readily available. Hickory tastes better, though. Real oxtail, real ackee and saltfish, absolutely the best cabbage and real Jamaican herbal tonics real soursop drinks and sea moss.

Don’t waste time any where else. If you want to eat take out from a real Jamaican then go to Tastee’s. This establishment is not really set up for fine dining, as are most real Jamaican restaurants in America.

Take out and enjoy!

This is for you if you like spicy food. I got the jerk chicken with brown stew sauce with rice and peas and plantains and cabbage. My bro got oxtails plate and beef rib and he threw away his rice and peas because of the heat and spices. I went here on 2/19/2025.

Took y’all’s suggestion and got the jerk chicken. It was juicy and tender. The flavor is delicious and the spice is flavorful but not overwhelming. There is plenty of food for two people. The customer service was friendly and on point. Mad I waited so long to try here. I’ll never go back to Golden Krust.

Literally the BEST Jamaican restaurant in Atlanta, this spot is a hidden Gem, you’ll be fooling yourself if you don’t give this spot a try.

Old man does it all himself and he’s super positive and welcoming, I call him Grandpa at this point.

I tried the Jerk chicken and Beef Patty. Hands down the best Jamaican food.

It’s a To-Go style so food doesn’t take long to come out.

Family owned quaint Jamaican restaurant that serves fresh, delicious authentic food. The menu boasts a variety of foods that include slow wood smoked short beef ribs and smoked jerk chicken that is marinated to the bone. Freshly baked Jamaican patties and a variety of vegetables with a choice of rice and beans. The prices are wallet friendly and the portions are generous. Must try if you are in the area.

I came in excited to try the food, but left completely thrown off. I was on the phone with someone Jamaican who speaks Patois, just helping me order. The cashier randomly caught an attitude and refused to give me my food after making the plate. For what? Only meat I saw was jerk chicken, and it looked like it had been sitting out all day. Everything looked mid anyway — glad I didn’t waste my money. Won’t be back. Went to Escovitchez instead, sooo good and customer service was a lot better
