So we went off of reviews. Wanted something different. One daughter said Olive Garden, the other Ruby Tuesday’s, but again, wanted something new. So we drove to over the bridge & made our way. Connected to hotel in Hardeville, ok, no problem. Not a lot of places to sit. Air went out, but she did apologize for that, no problem. Had tables but not enough chairs, so we went to high tops then moved to booth. There was music, but not my choice for a restaurant, but to each his own(I like the music, everyone won’t..ex: “Oh I got a Jones in my bones for you…Joe song unedited). Gotta be mindful of that. As for food I ordered the conch fritter, fried shrimp & Mac n cheese. Isaac had the shrimp with fries. Caila the cheeseburger & Ari the wings with fries. Cute presentation. Tried the Mac n cheese. Cheesy & not runny. Sometimes people don’t know that you have to cut cheese just like marinara sauce. It has a strong tart taste of you don’t. So the sharp cheese overpowered the dish. Gotta add that mild or medium to cut that taste, otherwise, a 1. The shrimp had a good seasoning, just remember to devein them. My dauughter did not like the choice of bun or lettuce for her cheeseburger, but she said it was a good burger. Ari says the wings where great & they where a nice size, so cudddos on that. We had a simple Vodka Pineapple & “Nasty Ashley”, which wasn’t weak. Conch fritter did have the spice, just needed something else, but I took them home(had some great fritters in Miami). Other than that, the family environment was great with everyone pitching in. Very clean. Maybe if we do go back I will try the oxtails.

I was skeptical with it being on a quality inn property but it blew us out of the water. Food was delicious! Server was friendly and they treated you like family. I had the hog wings with orange crush and spicy berry sauce. It comes with 4 and I only ate 3 before I was full. I wish I could have bottled up that sauce and brought it home with me. The kids got plain Mac n cheese and the seafood Mac n cheese. A little oil shimmered on top but that is what makes it good. Hubby got the Carolina Philly, standard ingredients like a regular Philly but with pimento cheese!! It was also delicious. My only one complaint if I had to make one is that the water is tap water and has an earthy taste to it, otherwise everything was amazing. This will be a future stop on our route from now on.

Food and service was good, the music was also good just a little too loud. I had the oxtails with rice, cabbage, and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed the oxtails and rice, didn’t like the taste of vinegar in the cabbage and the Mac and cheese was not the real thing. My friend enjoyed her pineapple bowl with shrimp and sausage. The other said the shrimp and grits was too spicy. Will definitely go again.

What can I say about this place but AMAZING. When I tell you the food is A1. The right amount of seasoning and let’s not talk about the serving size. Talk about bang for your buck. I had so much food that I ate at the restaurant, for dinner and late night snack. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. Shout out to the owners you guys have a good thing going and I pray that you alll have much success.

My wife and I split a dozen wings, and sides of onion rings and collards.
Everything was delicious. Collards were great, simmered with plenty of pork. Onion rings were battered, not breaded, and nice and crispy. Wings were great as well. Cooked perfectly and the sauces were delicious. Although I expected a lot more heat out of a flavor called “Regret ,” Especially after I was looked at like I was crazy when I ordered them.
Only complaint is that it’s rather loud. Music is loud and there were also 2 TVs going with the volume on 2 different shows.
Overall, though, if you’re looking for something that’s actually open Sunday evenings when you’re driving home on I-95, and don’t want to eat at a chain restaurant, I can’t recommend Taste enough.

Do yourselves a favor and visit this hidden gem of a restaurant! From beginning to end it was phenomenal. The young lady serving us was very sweet and helpful to us newcomers. The drinks were perfectly crafted. Just looking at the menu, you can tell it’s a mix of ingenuity, passion, and skill. Our appetizers of deviled eggs topped with blackened shrimp & the tequila lime wings were out of this world. I didn’t think it could get much better, but then our entrees (Philly cheesesteak and Calypso Chicken Sandwich) came out and kept blowing our minds. I still can’t get over the flavors in all of the dishes. Expertly done; kudos to the chefs! Can’t wait to head back!

Visiting from out of town, not many restaurants in this area I had the garlic honey wings and onion rings, really enjoyed them onion rings weren’t greasy, wings nice size, friend had the catfish and grits a big piece of fish he said that it was almost to salty but enjoyed it. Tried the banana pudding, not what I expected for$10.00 ,no bananas only banana flavor, it was good but definitely not 10.00 worth.would visit again, server was super friendly
