The vegetables in the tandoori were perfectly charred, yet still tender crisp. They included large peices of eggplant, zucchini, red and green pepper, cabbage, paneer, broccoli and cauliflower. We ordered two sides of spicy sauces to go with the veggies. We ordered the korma coconut curry mind for my 9-year-old son, and he loved it over rice. The paneer tikka masala was also delicious. We ordered it with medium spice and it was perfectly prominent in every bite. It was extremely flavorful. Since it was raining off and on, the chiya tea we ordered with milk and spices really hit the spot. It was so delicious and well balanced.
This was honestly one of the best Indian/Himalayan meals we have ever had, and as vegetarians, we’ve had plenty! The service was extraordinary, with detailed guidance on the menu, spice levels and options for kids. I accidentally dropped my knife on the floor, and without asking anyone, our server brought me a clean knife. Who does that?!!! That’s is a must try for Indian/Himalayan food in the Carlsbad area.
I ordered the tandoori chicken while my son went with his go-to, chicken tikka masala. We also enjoyed a chai tea and his favorite, a mango lassi, which didn’t disappoint! The flavors were rich, comforting, and clearly made with care.
We appreciated being able to pay with cash, and the overall experience was spontaneous yet memorable. Thank you to the staff for your wonderful hospitality and for sharing such a beautiful culture through your food and service.
The ambiance is really nice and the waitstaff were so attentive and kind. We ordered the Kadai Chicken the first night and it was honestly incredible, so flavorful and perfectly cooked.
We actually spent the next day at Legoland and were completely exhausted by the end of it. We thought about trying a different spot for dinner, but we honestly couldn’t stop thinking about how good the food was the night before, so we just went back again! This time we tried the Achari Chicken and it was even better.
You can tell they use high-quality ingredients because the food sat really well with me and didn’t feel heavy or greasy. The location is also perfect if you have kids because there’s plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the area after dinner.
If you’re in the area and want the best Nepalese, Indian, or Tibetan food, this place is a must. Definitely our new favorite spot in Carlsbad!
We stopped in yesterday afternoon for a quick bite, ordering two different appetizers. WOW! The flavors were amazing! Each bite was full of perfectly blended spices. So today we went back for lunch, and we are so glad we did. The staff are all warm and welcoming, all hailing from Nepal. They were extra kind and explained all sorts of things on the menu for us. But it’s the warm flavors and rich sauces we were craving that brought us back. Their amazing lunch special lets you choose 2 main dishes from a select menu, so we picked 4 total dishes and shared. The special also come with lentil soup and naan (get the garlic naan!) EVERYTHING was fabulous. You MUST get the mint chutney sauce– it’s incredible! Try the choila and pakora appetizers and you’ll want to come back for more. “Spicy” is REALLY spicy here, so ask for “mild” if you need to, but recognize that some dishes (like chicken chili) just can’t be made mild. But everything is absolutely delicious! (AND: that lunch special is under $15! It’s an amazing deal!)
They also made spice levels as per our recommendation.
We ordered Veg Momos , Chicken Momos, Veg Biryani, Kadhai Paneer, Roti, Shrimp Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Mango lassi & veg samosa. All dishes were equally yummy and tasty. We ate all food and forgot to take photos
Service was excellent, Himani and Tutu both are really sweet.
