The restaurant is beautiful! Absolutely stunning the vibes are great the service is wonderful. The appetizers especially the quail bites (you must try!) Were especially good, there’s a full size salad bar with alot of options to choose from. The steaks were juicy and decadent the presentations and explanations by the staff were more than helpful. The restaurant is definitely on the pricey side for my tatse so this will definitely be for a special occasion place. Overall I had a good time!

Excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is very good, 5 stars. It’s not loud at all, the tables are spread out and your not on top of everyone. The lighting is bright and it’s easy to hold a conversation without yelling. The bathrooms are very clean and smells great. Odd comment but it does matter. The food is also very good, its all about the steak! They even allow you to select your own steak before its prepared! All the steak temperatures are cooked to exactly how you expect it. We had a party of 6 for a business dinner but this is a great restaurant for any type of event. Make sure you have a reservation and everyone in your party must be present prior to seating. Lastly, parking is limited so carpool if you can.

This is was the best restaurant we had while visiting houston. Food was amazing, it was not cheap but you got a good value for your money. The portions are big!!
The service was 5 star, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time.

One of our favorite restaurants ever! The ribeyes are perfection, the decor and vibe (especially at Christmas) is beautiful, and the salad bar has lots of great choices. It’s fun to get to pick out your steak too!
We normally don’t eat out at this price point, but the steak, salad bar, and side (the au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts are amazing!) are actually a really good value and we always leave with leftovers!
PS: We came the Friday before Christmas without a reservation (3 people) and waited about 1 hour, 20 minutes.

Our anniversary visit to Taste of Texas was truly special. The food, the atmosphere, the service, and the people are top notch. As always, the steak was exceptional, the salad bar phenomenal, and the chicken was excellent. To top it off, the dessert, a massive piece of cheesecake, with the sparkler candle, made for an extra special touch. From the host, to the waiter, to the staff in the gift shop, to the special Christmas displays and decorations, we loved every aspect and will certainly come back!

Impressive! If you like fine quality no-nonsense steakhouses as I do, then you’ll absolutely love Taste of Texas. From the fresh salad bar to the hot Asiago dinner rolls, to the Texas raised, wet-aged Certified Angus steak, this place shines. My ribeye was tender, well marbled, cooked perfectly, and among the best I’ve ever had. Server Juan and supervisor Luis were more than accommodating. P. S. The kitchen is SPOTLESS! Next time we visit Houston, this will be our first stop for dinner!

The establishment was grand and welcoming. Our waiter was exceptional. He gave us some great recommendations and even lest us pick out our own steak! . I got the filet with the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was ok. I’d give it a 6/10. The salad bar and bread selection were the true stars of the show! 10/10 ⭐️

I wish seating didn’t take so long! It can be a dreadful hourly wait. In past years, in the bar area, complimentary popcorn, chips & salsa would be available. No more:(
T of T has become a family tradition of sorts on New Year’s Eve. The restaurant has a festive atmosphere and is well decorated. My meal was good not great however our group received superior five-star service from our waiter Micah. He was continually attentive. A huge shout-out and thank-you to Micah! You were fantastic!
