We stopped in on a busy Saturday morning. Our server was kind and friendly. All of the food was very delicious and cooked well. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

If you’re looking for good service and a hot meal this is not the place, incredibly slow service multiple inattentive servers and cold food.

Great place to come for lunch with my family. Friendly service and a wide variety makes sure everyone is satisfied. The bakery items are the highlight.

3 Star only because of service! I was on the Hunt for Biscuits & Gravy. Landed here for whatever reason! This place is connected to Festival Foods. Actually in Festival foods. It’s cheap for Biscuits & Gravy, but Oofta. Saltiest gravy I ever had. The biscuits weren’t homemade. Its cafeteria Food for Older people. Im the youngest guy in here at 46! If you want Fast Cafeteria service, come here. But I only tried the B & G Idk bout anything else. Coffee was ok. Nice & Quiet place at least. I don’t believe in a 1 star unless its a complete disaster! 5 for service 1 for food. Im sure other things are good! But not the B&G

Visited this location December 2025.
This spot is located just inside the main entrance to the festival goods. Enter and the restaurant and bakery is to the right.
We’ve visited the Shoreview location and absolutely enjoyed it. This location has the same high standard of great service, quality food and good bakery options. Server was attentive and helpful when we had a question or two about the specials.
Ended up with an omelette and the Swedish sampler for our meal that was delicious. Solid amount of fruit for the sampler. Coffee and latte were flavorful.
Would definitely visit this location when in the area again.

We loved our breakfast with coffee at the Bloomington Taste of Scandinavia. I enjoyed the farmer’s skillet; 3-eggs, red potatoes, bacon, onions, and cheddar cheese; and a Swedish pancake with syrup. My husband enjoyed his classic breakfast; 2-eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a regular pancake (instead of toast). Our waitress was very busy because the place was packed, nevertheless, she was attentive and promptly brought us more coffee, half n half, a box to go, and filled coffee cups to go at our request. We plan to return soon! ❤️

This place is located inside L&B. The restaurant is clean and the server was really fast being she’s the only working in the morning (I went at 630AM).
The menu is quite overwhelming but everything my table ordered tasted delicious! All plates were cleaned and it was the perfect amount. The only thing I didn’t like was the amount of eggs in the Norwegian Lefse breakfast. My daughter had the chocolate kolache and it was very soft and moist.

Lots of variety for Scandinavian food and the lefse was good! Restaurant is tucked into corner of grocery store, but much bigger space than one might think. Service was inattentive, cordial at best, which made for a longer meal even as a single diner. Location is just 3 minutes off highway, nice and convenient.

We can’t believe we didn’t come here sooner. The food is soooo good, and generous portions for a super reasonable price. I got the Grecian omelette—gyro meat with spinach, tomato, and feta cheese with tzatziki sauce on the side—it is the most amazing omelette I have ever had!! i swapped out the side of toast for lefse and it was also delicious. My daughter tried the tres leches French toast and son had the breakfast burger (both limited specials), and they both also loved their food. Our server was nice and knowledgeable and the restaurant clean and convenient. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch!!

Love the loaded chorizo hasbrowns and lefsedilla!
The service has improved greatly since my original review. There WAS a staff member (manager I believe) there that had a tendency to come off poorly (rude and acted like customers were an inconvenience). Things are much better now.
This little cafe is hidden inside Festival Foods Grocery. Food is consistently yummy. Some favorites of ours are: loaded chorizo hash browns (pictured), wild rice omelette, fried chicken, and wild rice meatloaf.
Weekend mornings can be busy so be prepared to wait. They do take reservations for large groups (6 or more I believe). Tons of parking!
