First of all, there’s really someone complaining in a different review about “too much cheese on cheese fries”? That blows my mind because this is EXACTLY what I want when I hear CHEESE FRIES.
Been here twice in the past week with different results each time. First time was absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, hot, cheesy, delicious, full filled sandwiches that had me eagerly craving more. My first sandwich was a green chile Philly (added bacon and jalapeños, delicious) and just blew me away. This time I ordered a chicken philly and all I’ll say is it is NOWHERE near as good as the shaved steak meat. Not grading so much based off that because the traditional Philly is what they’re more directed towards with the chicken option for those who prefer it. What was the most disappointing part of my chicken Philly was that each side of the sandwich had one bite that was 90% bread, barely filled at the ends of the sandwich at all when my last one was pretty full from end to end. They were also much less busy last night in my visit than previously so that was a little disappointing.
The employees all seem very nice and attentive.
All in all, Taste of Philly is definitely worth it, but some sandwiches need to be filled better!
P.S. …get those cheese fries. They are SO good.

Taste of Philly says it all in the name! A fantastic local sandwich shop that carries a lot more then sandwiches. If your looking for a great Philly cheesesteak check this restaurant out! With a wonderful sandwich shop decor reminiscent of Philadelphia. The shop has many well known tourist attractions from Philadelphia adorning it’s walls with the classic black and white checkered patterned tiles through the restaurant. Plenty of seating along with an abundance of booths along the walls make this a great place to dine in. Loved the napkin dispenser on the table as I’m a messy eater combined with a delicious Philly cheesesteak made this a multiple napkin meal. You will have leftovers because this restaurant serves big portions. The waitress who served us was great and so inviting. She came over several times to check in on us and our meal was served just as quickly as we ordered it. This sandwich shop offers many other wonderful options including wraps, grinders, salads, hoagies and sides. The restrooms were also outstanding. They were spacious, clean and well stocked. Check this local restaurant out if your looking for a great sandwich shop with a relaxed enjoyable atmosphere!

Came here for Saturday lunch, they didn’t have the Philly Popper on this location’s menu, but they still made it for me! We ordered Fried Mushrooms, which came out super hot and fresh, they were so good. My Philly Popper was perfect, I got the regular size and still couldn’t finish it, jalapeños were the perfect spice level for a sandwich. My husband ordered the Green Chile Philly, he enjoyed his, he ordered the Large and saved half of it for later. He also got the Cheese Fries, I wasn’t too sure about it because they use Cheese Whiz but they were actually really yummy! Our server was sweet and she was quick! Glad to have a good place to eat on the south side of town.

Wayyyyy to expensive. Bought lunch, $25!!!!!!!!!! Literally charges 3.99 for a large fountain drink. 3.99 small fry and 14.00 large steak. Was not for me, lol..but no. Not a place you can afford to grab a quick bite. Will not return until 2027. ❤️

I repeat, do not go to this place. I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak sandwich and found two pieces of cardboard in my sandwich, and all they wanted to do was give me a credit to come back and eat there again I will never go back, and I will be reporting them to the department of health because how do you have cardboard in your meat? And then proceeded to tell me that that was probably old meat so, are you mixing fresh meat with old meat? Either way, they are not sanitary and I pray that I don’t get food poisoning after this meal

Fabulous! As close to getting a Philly without being there that you can! Highly recommended, especially with some Whiz. All authentic ingredients too, especially real Amaroso rolls.. yummy!
