I’v been going to Taste of Mumbai for awhile now, and for good reason. I was originally recommended to go here because of the affordable prices and excellent quality but soon found out how true it was. This place has provided the most authentic Indian dishes that I could find outside of India and reminded me what an amazing food culture India has.
The food isnt the only thing worth coming back for. Its a family owned restaurant with everyone participating. The cooks are dedicated and know their way around a kitchen. The people up front are welcoming, caring and genuine, always ensuring the patrons are happy with everything.
I highly recommend any of the following dishes: any Naans, the Deviled Chicken Curry, Veg Samosa, Goat Biryani, Sukha Goat, Chili Chicken and most recently the Chicken Chops although I can almost guarantee you wont be disappointed with anything you get. I even brough it home to my family who isn’t big on spice, but they were pleasantly surprised at just how much they enjoyed it as well.
I think if you’ve made it this far in the review you’re a person who desires excellent food and I myself couldn’t recommend this place enough for the amazing Indian cuisine and great atmosphere. Yes, its slightly small inside but well worth any wait needed to come here.

Their Paneer Kurchan is the best on Long Island. Malai Kofta is also very tasty. Manchow Soup is delicious. They have really good non-veg dishes too. The thing I like best about them is the quality is same every single time, I have done takeout with them for more than 20 times.

My friend and I come here to eat in during our lunch break. It takes around 15 mins for everything to come out. We stick with (recommend) garlic naan, chicken tikka masala & chicken/shrimp Hakka noodles. The garlic naan is buttery, hot and flakey. Butter Chicken is so flavorful and the chicken breast is juicy and tender. The Hakka noddles mixed with the butter chicken is diff wave.

I love the taste of this restaurant. Goat curry is a MUST try. Tomato chicken curry gives a kind of refreshing acidity flavor. Another vegetable dish is potato and cauliflower dish. Naan texture is soft not chewy. I love to eat Naan with Goat curry sauce. Even my kids who is always picky eating like to eat this restaurant.
But there is one thing to remind, this restaurant is a little bit crowded during weekend lunch hour.

This quickly went from the best indian food spot in town to one of the worst food spots. Absolutely terrible service. On 2/27 I order over phone and it was Absolutely clear (1 butter naan, 1 chilli garlic, 1 goat curry, 1 badami jinga) they put down butter chicken instead. I called regarding the matter and they accused me of incorrectly ordering and got defensive. This isnt the first time my order was incorrect. Even the goat curry had not even 2 pieces of goat, bland butter chicken. This place is simply not what it used to be.

Tried a new dish today and first time dine-in at the store, ordered Mirapakaya Mamsam Koora Curry with goat (bone-in). It was soooo good too even more flavorful than my usual order goat rogan josh. They’re very busy so make sure go early to avoid people traffic Staff always so friendly ♥️
I found this place on Google maps, my go to place is very far out from Long Island and this restaurant will be my new go to place! I ordered goat curry and garlic naan, it was sooo delicious Can’t wait to come back for the next order!

Wifey has been wanting a spot for Indian food since we moved to the area BUT she does not like spicy. Her favorite dish is chicken korma and sure enough they have it here. She really loved it! Also got the vegetable samosa and they were standard. Lil man ordered shrimp noodles that were just like shrimp chow mein. But he enjoyed the chicken korma and the naan. Overall food was tasty and now wifey is happy with a spot for Indian food. Seating area is small but we were seated right away. Service was fine as we were the only customers there. Honestly it looks like most customers order take out. But we enjoyed the food so we will be back.
