Pretty good overall. The steak kabab was a bit in the well done area which made it tough to chew but had good flavor. I ordered the spicy rice which was good buy wasn’t too spicy, maybe mild to medium area of spice which is probably good enough for most people. Falafel was good that came with my combo as well. My wife really liked the chicken shawarma pita sandwich she got. However, I still think my main go to would be jk kebab as you get more for the money on the dish like vegetables.

This place completely impressed me with the quality of its food. The chicken shawarma bowl was incredibly flavorful and the falafel was perfectly cooked with a great texture. The spicy rice paired beautifully with the garlic sauce and made the whole dish even more enjoyable. I am still thinking about how good it was. The only thing I wish is that I had also tasted the hot sauce.

This place first caught my eye a little while back when I was driving to Crest Hill but it unfortunately wasn’t open that day so I had to wait until the next time I was in the area to give them a try. The restaurant was big and clean inside with plenty of tables and seating. I even saw a large party of more than 8 people easily accommodated.The cashier who took my order was very nice. The menu isn’t extensive but they have a decent selection from which to choose.
I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap to go and sat down while I waited for my food. The order took a little longer than expected but I could see that it was being made to order which I appreciated. I asked the cashier if they had any hot sauce and she happily grabbed me a cup. I really liked the chicken flavor and the toppings in the wrap. It came with a cup of garlic sauce which I appreciated but was a little too thick for my taste so it was kind of hard to add it into the wrap. The hot sauce was interesting and had a flavor profile similar to others I’ve had but with something added that sets it apart. Although I think I prefer others I still appreciated what it brought to the wrap.
If you’re a fan of middle eastern cuisine I would recommend giving Taste of Jerusalem a try.

This place has recently been a go-to of mine ever since my friend recommended it a while back. Food is amazing and service is great- they’re all very friendly and willing to recommend something for you. I typically get the shawarma plate and it usually lasts me at least two meals. Overall, a great place to pick up a quick meal or to sit and eat too. I’ll continue to recommend this place whenever I can!

This place has honestly been one of my go to spots. I love the chicken shawarma they make here. The place is pretty clean, the young man was very respectful and fun to talk to, he also did recommended me the chicken shawarma wrap combo. I always do feel taken care of here and I definitely recommend this place. I also did bring some friends a couple of times and they have loved it too.

I can tell you that the meats are very flavorful. I had the combo kabob platter and the tastes were spot on. I think overall the portion could be slightly better at least for the amount of meat. The spices and seasonings are spot on and the meat is tender. I recommend people try this place at least once! I’ll likely return next time I’m in the area to explore more of the menu.

Had two friends recommend this place. This was my second time trying Mediterranean food, and it was my first time having chicken schwarma. It was AWESOME! Spicy rice was very tasty and had a decent kick to it. I enjoyed the salad too. Girlfriend got the falafel sandwich and she really liked it too. It was $27 for our order, but you do leave full. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

Ordered 2 lamb kebabs & falafel. The lamb & spicy rice was so flavorful. I genuinely enjoyed my meal. Wait time was not bad at all. Compared to Mediterranean restaurants in Chicago, TOJ can certainly compete!
