The food is excellent and Taste of India is my favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs. I just moved here and I thought I’d try it. The service is top notch and I recommend the butter chicken and aloo gobi to everyone that goes there. The food is so delicious that I order for delivery at least once a week because my co workers love the food too. I really liked how the waitresses were always giving us water and being there when we needed something. The are always so sweet and they have the best cooks. The dinner and the lunch are both great. I absolutely love the buffet, the price is fantastic and of course the food is so delicious. I absolutely love the dinner as well. The dishes come in good portions and I appreciate that very much. What a wonderful atmosphere and great food! I give this restaurant all 5 stars! Everything about Taste of India is great!

My Wife and I got a groupon as a gift and finally took advantage of it tonight. We’d seen the mixed reviews and while we were there we decided that this place deserved better than the bad, snobby reviews that don’t actually say anything. The food was great, the waiter was a soft-spoken gentleman, and a great waiter. It doesn’t look like much from the exterior, but the interior is fairly nice. If you’re looking for great Indian food, you can’t really go wrong coming here.

This place is the WORST of the three Indian restaurants in the Springs. I love Indian food and this place doesn’t even come close to the real deal. I know the food is stale, it is not cooked fresh. The portions on the dinner menu are so small and way OVER PRICED! The service is slow, the people there are so rude. You will be waiting at least 30-40 minutes for food that isn’t even worth the wait! If you want real Indian food, go some where else.
The decor is so out dated, old chairs and tables…so unhygienic..the guy who works there will pick up dirty dishes and without washing his hands will serve water, handle cash..the bathroom is disgusting..not cleaned in months

I ended up at this store with 3 of my friends. We ordered Chicken Vindaloo, naan and Butter Chicken. The quantity was very less compared to the price. We ended up paying over $60 just for 2 curry and naan.
The service was horrible, waitresses were stinking like they didn’t took bath for a week. Make sure you don’t breath while a waitress cross your table, you might then not even eat your food.
Never going again at this terrible place.

best Indian restaurant in springs!! the waitresses were super nice and very helpful and polite.lunch buffet for only $8.95
Heavenly food, good service and priced right! I think I have found heaven, and it’s in my mouth at taste of India. They have a really unique menu, with all of the common stuff and then a ton of new infusion food. I went there with my wife last week, the staff was friendly and helpful, the food was the best I have had and the wine list was amazing. All this and the price was definitely right. Had to take extra Samosa to go! We can’t wait to go back for more! . here are the dishes I would recommend if it’s your first time. 1. chicken Vindaloo (spicy, real spicy, and delicious, you won’t find this anywhere else in the state, maybe country!) 2. Chicken Tikka Masala – An old favorite with a new twist, definitely try it! 3. The Mix Grill – They have a few tanduri ovens there, and they use them for all kinds of creative stuff!!! Excellent. Keep it up taste of India, you have a customer for life!!!!

i don’t really understand the hate for this place… maybe i’m just used to the flavor, but i prefer this. Mirch and Palace are “ok and all,” but their recipes just don’t grab me the way Taste does.
i also miss Taste of India Express. we would grab them all the time at work…
(edit: i’ve been here or to Express ~a dozen times. Mirsh 4-5 times. Palace once (two dishes, though). i’ve been on a “painfully spicy” kick lately, and Palace’s hottest didn’t really move me. the couple of birthdays i went for dine-in, i will admit they were a bit slow, but nothing like what other reviewers said. every time i’ve ordered, they have always been polite and smiling.)

Called in an order for Chicken Masala and galic Naan. The server was very unfriendly and the price was high for what I ordered. The food was gross and the Naan was overcooked as it was black on the bottom. Will not be going back!

Odered catering for an event with 30 people. Cost was reasonable and food was delicious, especially the vegetarian dish, Alloo Mutter, and would also highly recommend the Butter Chicken. Planning to use again in the future.

I went for the lunch buffet and it was not worth the price for so little items available and the workers watch you while you eat and count how many plates you ate ..it makes you uncomfortable. The water cups looked dirty and some of the utensils are not well washed.

It was decent food, little pricey though. I probably wouldn’t go back unless I had a coupon.
