As a GF life, this place accommodates GF and dairy-free options! The owner’s wife and child are celiac and dairy-free. So he understands the background of the disease. The food was fabulous. Will be back in the future!

Absolutely a hidden gem!!! My gluten intolerant fiancé and I walked in, most of the staff, including the owner/cook, all welcomed us like we were regulars. The place was at about 60% capacity. Drink orders taken, drinks delivered, daily special communicated or our server was ready to take our orders, all in less than 3 minutes. Talked with the server about what she recommended and she referenced the owners top picks as well as hers. Ordered bang bang GF shrimp with slaw and fries and the bacon and blue burger with chips and pickles.
WOW! Blue cheese dressing is made in house. The bang bang shrimp sauce is GF and dairy free. Burger was smash style with ample blue cheese and lots of fresh veggies. Slaw was delicious, fries are fresh cut shoestring style. Like perfect fair fries. 10/10 for the food. We will be back.
The cook/owner came out and checked on us and revealed he has family members who are GF and DF and extremely sensitive to either so his kitchen is meticulous. He also informed us the bacon and blue burger was a state award winning burger from a previous restaurant he was a cook at and he brought the recipe with him. SUPER nice service.
From the time we ordered to the time we had food in front of us, less than 6 minutes. No joke.
The owner said he does not advertise and to be honest, he doesn’t need to. I heard about from a local group facebook post from a customer and we gave it a shot. You should too!! Reasonable prices, especially with the portion sizes. Atmosphere was small town diner like.
We loved everything about it and are already planning to go back very soon. Pay them a visit, support small businesses and enjoy some very delicious and allergy safe food.
PS: they have a sign at the entrance stating “no nuts allowed” so no chance of tree nut allergies. They do have a burger that has peanut butter so you may want to call ahead to get more info about what they do for that but like I said, they are VERY meticulous about food safety.

My first time eating here was yesterday, and I liked how courteous they were, the facility was clean, but personally I just wasn’t impressed. My wife had a fish basket with one piece of fish, fries and two small sides for $22 and she said it tasted good. I had the other fish basket with two pieces of walleye, fries, and one side for $26. The walleye had the strong fishy taste and not the fresh taste.

I cannot speak on the seafood because I do not eat it often, and have not ate it here, but I can say they have the best burgers in town. Period. Hands down. I tried the collard greens, wasn’t exactly what I like (sweet), but the coleslaw is better than next door and that’s hard to beat! The people we have taken with us that have tried the seafood said it is very good. The cheesy grits are amazing as well. This restaurant is usually one of our meals weekly. Staff is always friendly, owners are always caring enough to say hello and ask how your meal is/ was. Great food and great people.

We’ve been wanting to try Stop and Sea, and we’re so glad we finally did! We were greeted immediately and even the cook/owner came out and checked on us later! The food was delicious and affordable, the portions were generous, and the service was wonderful!! We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others!

The food here is always delicious. Every time we visit we know exactly what to expect from the quality of the food to the attentiveness of the staff, it is top notch. The specials are always a treat too. Especially the ribs, we haven’t found any better.
