This is the best Indian restaurant around the Purdue campus in West Lafayette, IN. I was surprised with their food quality, taste and the pricing. Cheaper than most restaurants in big urban cities. I visited this place three times during my four day stay in West Lafayette. A must visit place for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine.

Pretty good North Indian food. Service can be a bit spotty as they do get a bit busy. The dishes can be mixed. The dal makhani was great. The chaat was just some crisps with a lot of boiled Chana. The samosa was ok. The paratha and naan was well made. The palak paneer was yum, loads of paneer. The menu has all your favorites. Of the choices at Prudue, Taste is likely the best one.

The service is the worst. All the waiters hide out behind the counter you would have to attempt more than 3 times to get their attention with only 1 other family in the entire restaurant. We were in the buffet and all the food was bad even with just 1 other family in the entire restaurant they were always short on Naans and had to wait like every 5 mins. Rice was hard and dry. Every curry was very sweet and no spice at all and the only sweet option was mango custard which was super watery. Overall they could have done so much better for the price.

I went to this restaurant last night around 9:30 pm. I ordered some food and told the server, if I need anything more, I will let you know. He rudely said, ‘we will close the kitchen at 9:45 pm’. But I saw him taking orders from other tables around 9:55 pm. The food was good and spicy. I wanted to have some yogurt but I dreaded to ask him for yogurt because I could not see any pleasantness on his face. To summarize, food was good but service was bad.
