I’m from Kaua’i, and the food took me home! The prices are very reasonable especially compared to others doing the same cuisine in Portland and even cheaper than Hawai’i! Most everything today is $18+ for a plate lunch! The food was perfectly Hawai’i! We’ll be back!

Looking for a quick bite and just passing through? Taste of Hawaii is there place! Forget the other options on the map. The Crispy Korean Chicken w/ rice and mac salad was perfect! Crispy, flavor-packed, deliciousness!
The Teriyaki chicken was equally as delicious! We will make this our new stop when passing through. Might even need to take friends on a day trip just to have them enjoy the food here too.

Fooooooooood.
Worth the stop. Had the fried rice loco moco and Kalua pork plate. Good portions. Apparently they used to be at (near?) the golf course. Anyways, no regrets.

Great food, service, and captures the Big Island small town vibe surprisingly well. In the summer at the bar, you could easily convince me I was there.

Garlic noodles and chicken katsu were good! Quick too. Needed a go to driving between Portland and Bend and this is now my place!

If you are ever on Hwy 22 going thru Mill City, Taste of Hawaii is a must stop! This is truly the Hawaii experience at its finest in Mill City.
Its a small local style shop just like I would go to in Old Wailuku town, Maui.
Don’t expect fine dining and elegant tables all you need is to bring an appetite and enjoy some straight up Hawaiian style cooking at great prices. Staff and owner will treat you like family.
The food is crazy good! Just like being back home.
We had the Kal-Bi ribs, Kalua pig with cabbage, Korean chicken, and the garlic noodles. Everything was spot on! We travel the Hwy 22 corridor consistently and this is our must stop for every trip.
If you are ever in the area this is a must stop to enjoy some island grindz!

I saw this place on the way to the lake and immediately had a sense that it was going to be authentic and delicious and boy was I right. Great seasoning, generous servings, friendly staff, short wait time. It definitely filled my stomach and definitely deserves some more recognition. I will be coming back when I am back in the area!

Probably the most authentic Hawaiian food I’ve had outside of Hawaii. The Poké was especially tasty. The owner was also super nice.
