Amazing amazing amazing…. From The moment we walked into the door until the moment we walked out. Enthusiastically greeted and seated promptly with a smile! Abraham, our server was super attentive from the moment we were seated. Give us plenty of time to make our Selections, Helped to make our selections and service was awesome…and he didn’t miss a beat. Margaritas were amazing. The food absolutely incredible every single dish that we had! Cannot believe we have not been here before now! This will absolutely be a regular place. The flavors of every appetizer and dish were spot on.

I’ve visited this spot three times now, and I can officially say it’s one of my favorites. The quality is incredibly consistent—every single meal has been fresh, tasty, and truly authentic. It’s hard to find a place that hits the mark every time, but they do.
Beyond the food, the staff is wonderful; they are very nice, attentive, and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is also great—it’s very clean, well-spaced, and well-lit with beautiful decorations. Plus, the prices are very fair for the big portions you get. This has become my go-to spot; I would go there every time I want to eat Mexican food!

I REALLY wanted to love this place, especially with all the good reviews, but as someone from Texas, this was a miss. If I could give 3 and a half I would, because the restaurant interior is lovely, the service is good, the steak tasted good, but if you were to blindfold me and have me taste test what cuisine it was, I’d guess basic American. It’s honestly a little impressive how unseasoned the refried beans and cheeses were.
I would not call it authentic Mexican food. It tasted like someone took Mexican food and tried to make it “clean eating”, something very common on the East Coast it seems.
All in all, the food and staff were good. I do not want to make it sound horrible, because it wasn’t. The issue is simply it was not the authentic Mexican or even Mexi-merican flavors I’m accustomed to. For others to enjoy this is perfectly valid, and I wish no ill to Plaza Grande or its staff. My review is simply to let anyone with a similar palate to mine that this probably isn’t for you.

Amazing food, customer service, and a clean, modern & beautiful environment. This place has outranked our number one spot. Highly recommend. My husband ordered the fajita quesadilla with both chicken and beef. It is smothered in queso and comes with rice and beans. Outstanding! I ordered the arroz con pollo which is a queso, rice and chicken dish with guac, sour cream, lettuce and choice of flour or corn tortillas on the side. All of our meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I also ordered the house strawberry marg and it was wonderful – not too sweet and you could taste the tequila. For $8, it exceeded expectations. With two entrees, a soda, and cocktail, pre-tip was just over $50. Great date night!

We had a fantastic experience from the moment we entered until the time we left. The vibrant fountain inside the restaurant was truly mesmerizing, adding to the lively atmosphere. The staff was highly trained and efficient, delivering dishes by hand in a unique and impressive manner. The extensive menu offered a wide variety of options, including delicious soups and vegetarian dishes, all at affordable prices. The checkout process was swift and hassle-free. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience, and we highly recommend it!

Really nice place. Clean. Good food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. My wife and I spoke with our server a little bit. Her name is Dorie, and she was professional and genuinely friendly. She shared a lot about the owners and the history of how they ended up opening in Syracuse. They food is all made in-house and is fresh and delicious. Their salsa was amazing, and we bought a separate tub of it to take home. They spice the food slightly heavier than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Not more hot necessarily, just more flavor (cilantro, pepper, lime, etc, which was really good. The drinks were good. Strong and well crafted. They are reletively new to the area. They’ll do fine here. Will definitely be coming back.

Found a new gem in the Syracuse food scene. I had heard there was new a Mexican restaurant in the old Kirby s space. So we checked it out and it was excellent! They totally redid the inside and it has a cool Mexican feel. Service was outstanding! And the food was excellent. My shrimp fajitas was delicious. Lots of shrimp and they had an awesome seasoning on them. Others got chicken and steak and both loved it. Get the house hot sauce …. It was excellent

We had a great dinner. The food is fantastic, and the portions are significant, so make sure you are hungry. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the music is great for enjoying the dinner. Also, friendly service, and if it’s your Birthday, ask for the singing at the table. Lastly, good beers on draft, great Margaritas and Mojitos… ha and try the Paloma drink.
