Possibly the worst summer rolls I’ve ever had. Sloppily rolled, filled with iceberg lettuce shreds and a mix of chunky pork and shrimp. One had two Possibly whole shrimp, the other maybe a piece of a tail. I think they just have all these ingredients in a giant bowl and reach in and grab it and roll it and whatever happens, happens. Their peanut sauce is the worst as well. Interesting enough is they have it out on tge table with a separate container with ground peanuts. The hot & sour soup is a thick broth that had to be from some kind of powder mix. BRIGHT SPOTS: Very nice and spacious atmosphere. Not too loud or too quiet. The wait staff are so friendly and helpful! They knew half the diners by name and vice versa. My Kung Pao chicken was hot and fresh. With perfectly cooked veggies. The “fried rice” was bland and just had a yellowish tinge to it. The egg roll was super hot , crispy and fresh! This was my first time here, came based off the high rating, but not sure if I’ll return. Maybe for the pho, which a lot of people were eating. We’ll see. ‍♂️

If youre looking for Vietnamese cuisine made with love and care, this is the place youre looking for. If you’ve never been, you are MISSING OUT. The food is authentic, fresh and delicious, and the service is second to none. They remember us and our order EVERYTIME WE COME IN NO MATTER HOW LONG ITS BEEN. My boyfriend has been coming here for 15 years and they recognize him, his name, and asks for his friend even. They are kind, wonderful people that absolutely deserve your business, they are the Vietnamese gem in San Antonio. Please give them your business!!! We love y’all ToA!!!!!

I don’t often do reviews- I’ve been coming here for years.. but I stopped in today for my lunch hour, ordered my meal and starter, and I noticed through each leaf of the lettuce was either a squished or crawling bug on them. I mentioned to the waiter, he said he’d pass the message to the manager- and when I went to pay- I noticed on my bill that I was still being charged. I brought it up again and talked to both managers upfront, and rather than apologizing and removing that item off the bill, they chose to only explain and justify why that happened, and why it happens often with their produce?? I guess I was suppose to be okay with bugs on my food and to still be charged for it.

The last few times have been downhill there, usually sticky and today was just unforgiving. I will absolutely not go back- and I hope this review helps other customers that come here.

I couldn’t upload the video I have, so I took screenshots to show..

The pat tai is only so so, not authentic style. At the sweet spectum , not sour or spicy at all.
Otherwise, other Vietnamese food are still pretty good

I visited this restaurant a few years ago and it was great. I was in the area recently and decided to come back, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the food was amazing. I ordered the spring rolls, and they were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place.

Said it was busiest day of week. Only one other person in whole store for the 2 hrs we ate. Moved here from Japan eager to taste American ver of Asian food. Was NOT happy to taste pancakes in wonton soup and NOTHING ELSE or for my tempura to be all flour with a mini 1/2 inch chef boyardee shrimp in 4 inches long flour thats not even panko and calling it tempura. PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE ASIAN FOOD AND CULTURE ON THIS PLACE ITS THE WORST AMERICAN EXAMPLE IVE SEEN AND TASTED IN 3 YEARS!!!!

Best pho in San Antonio. Best Vietnamese Spring Rolls especially. I have never had another pho restaurant serve them the same way and I always have the expectation they will be just like Taste of Asia. This is where I first had pho and Vietnamese food as a child and now will always be my family’s favorite spot.
