A must visit.
Super nice mom and pop vibe.
The couple running the bar really do a great job explaining the different wines as well as providing a detailed map of all of the different places to check out in the area.
They pour generously and have great prices.

Fantastic multi vineyard tasting room. So good we came back a second night and were treated fabulously by Ray and the even more fabulous Michelle. Wines ranged from approachable and low priced to much higher end and truly complex. Definitely go with the flight recommendations.

First time in Paso Robles. Friendly/knowledgeable couple gave us information and great recommendations about the area. Also tasted some great wine from the region. Great place to visit to get your bearings. So get a Chamber of Commerce Award.

Larry and Kitty run the wine bar here. This is one of a small chain of wine bars by this name and ownership. Great place to hang out. Always a great variety on tap or already open. All bottles are available for purchase. Friendly service and knowledgable about the region.

They had a good selection of wine. The selection I tasted were really nice. The setting was very cozy. It was really decorated nicely. It had a quite a few patrons but didn’t feel overcrowded. The patrons were very nice and explain their setup. I think they’re it setup is kind of unique and I like it. They also have some snacks on consignment. I went there twice and enjoyed both times.

We didn’t enjoy our experience there. We tasted two wines for, respectively, $30 and $60 per bottle. We then asked for something else and we got charged $37 per glass. Quite pricey for what was a good but not a great wine. Also I’d like to have known the price in advance. Maybe it escaped the lady who was serving us but it shouldn’t have happened. The setting of the place is modest.

My partner and I only had one night to spend in Paso Robles, and I’m glad we spent it at Taste in the Alley with Ray and Lee. Ray served us a variety of tastings, explaining each without intimidating us or insulting our intelligence. He made the wines accessible, and Ray supplemented Lee’s descriptions of each wine with colorful (and very scientific) commentary. We had a lovely time and are taking our newfound knowledge of Central Coast wines back to Atlanta to impress all our friends.
