I’ve never had anything bad to say about Panera. So normally this would be 5 stars, but this is the sadest cookie I have ever seen! Over-baked and it looks like a young child decorated it. Do better.

Pretty average panera. The wait for your food can definitely get crazy around lunch since it’s right downtown, but it’s usually nice and cozy for dinner. The coffee is almost never down, but sometimes the soda machine is.

Recently placed an order for Bakers dozen on Tuesday at 6am for pick-up at 8:30am. I received call at 8:15 from store to let me know they did not have the flavors I had ordered, But I could wait until 9:30 when more would be ready. I declined as I did not want to wait. I ended up with 9 plain and 4 cinnamon. The plain were rock hard the following day. I would think that if you have the special every Tuesday, you would plan accordingly to have a selection of the popular flavors available. There has been other Tuesdays where I had the same issue.

The service at this location is just abysmal. I visited in the morning on a Friday, not even an odd day or time, and there was no one at the counter. I had to wait for almost 5 minutes for someone to even come out from the back to take my order. I ordered two souffles and a cherry danish to go. I pay and leave and when I opened the bag I found that I had been given two souffles and a cinnamon roll. How do you even make that mistake? Or were you just not even listening to me when I placed my order? Ridiculous. I was also charged $18 for just those items which seemed high, but wouldn’t have complained if I actually got what I ordered. I guess I should have asked for a receipt. But I normally just trust that the person behind the counter knows what they’re doing. But in this case, apparently not.

The Bistro French Onion soup in a sourdough bread bowl was delicious! Fresh, hot, & tender onions sauteed then slow simmered to perfection & surrounded with some of the tastiest sourdough bread world round.
The crust is golden brown delicious, and chewy just the right amount. The inside of the loaf is soft and stretches just right when you chew off a bit.
Served with a chocolate chip cookie & apple, I also had a decaf coffee.
The service was relatively fast, smooth, courteous & professional, while also warm, friendly, and approachable. I got dine-in, though carryout is available too.
It was early afternoon and brisk business, but slowed in minutes, though I was queued in line about 5 min.
I’ve never eaten in this particular Panera, near the reconverted train depot on W. Washington. It has more than ample seating, lots of beautiful window seats for soaking up some ambient light while dining. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone loving sourdough bread and homemade soups, & sandwiches are equally great.

If I could rate this restaurant 0 stars, I would. Constantly messing up my orders like forgetting to package one of the halves of my “Pick 2.” How do you do that? It’s called a “Pick 2” for a reason – meaning TWO items belong with that order. Besides that, their delivery is ALWAYS late and the drivers cannot understand or chose to ignore the delivery instructions. They keep giving you credits to keep you ordering from them again in order to redeem the credits, but I’ve contacted their customer care team on my most recent order due to this ongoing incompetence for a full refund (we’ll see if they issue it). I tried to reorder the missing item using the credit issued through their web ordering portal, but guess what? The amount to replace the missing item is not fully covered by the credit, so I’d still have to pay for THEIR error. I’m done with this location, I’ve given them too many chances and I’m repeatedly disappointed over and over again.

Old bakery foods. Didn’t brother to warm up the cinnamon roll. Organization is super poor. Could have simply grabbed my order but waited until they cooked everyone else’s first, while one guy just aimlessly walked around. Won’t be back. Gone down hill a lot since I’ve visited last.

Reminded why I haven’t been to Panera in years. If you show something available in the mobile app, it should be available for pick up after I place my order and show up for it. You were “sold out” and you hadn’t even been open for an hour yet. We’re already paying obnoxious prices for essentially glorified hospital food. Will not be back.
