In town visiting my old haunts. Taste Buds still lives up to the best specialty coffees/teas and breakfast/lunch menu for quick pick up or dine in. I enjoy listening to the relaxing music, while surfacing on my phone.

Excellent cafe food with a very calming and comfortable atmosphere. Servers bring food out to table and place drinks onto the stand next to the order area. They have comfortable couches and a nice patio area for outside dining. Recommend bringing some friends or a partner here to have a good time. Although it’s a great place to unwind and relax by yourself as well.

What a gem this place is! When walking up to the shop, I was captivated by the beautiful garden, trellis, and patio. The interior is spacious with a guitar theme on one wall and local eclectic art everywhere else. There are so many treats to choose from- New York cheesecake, macaroons, muffins, cookies, scones, fudge. All looks professionally made and delicious. I went with the magic cookie bar and it did not disappoint! I’m from Colorado and always visit this coffee shop when visiting family in upstate New York. It’s quaint, friendly, make you feel right at home.

This unique, cozy, bakery/coffee shop gives the locals and visitors a calm place to retreat with something for everyone! As someone who avoids dairy I loved having so many options. The art is calming and there’s even outdoor seating for those warm summer days !

Coffee and pastries were excellent. Staff was polite and friendly. In the few minutes that I was sitting there drinking my coffee I couldn’t help but notice the staff delivering beverages and food to customers, wiping everything down, cleaning doors and just caring about how the place looked and it showed. I highly recommend Taste Budds for their food, beverages, cleanliness, and staff friendliness.

My friend and I had driven from Connecticut to see a show at Bard, and asked one of the student employees to recommend a coffee place that was on our way home: Taste Budds was the one she said was her favorite. I can see why!. My coffee drink was fabulous and made to order – a little bit different from on the menu. The strawberry balsamic truffle was incredible. My friend loved her apple, crisp and iced chai. And I bought a bag of beans to bring home with me; I always look for light roast, because I prefer it, and I even love the name: Positive Light! Loved the vibe, the menu, the comfy sofas, the markers on the table to let people know if they were clean or needed cleaning so they could make sure they sat at the clean ones. Really, I cannot say enough good things about this place. It’s my favorite coffee shop I’ve been in in a long long time. Even though I live two hours away, I will be back!
