After many many years coming and not finding it open we were pleasantly surprised that it was open in early October 2024. We had these over 15 years ago. Prices have always been high as they are hand made and use taro from his farm and others. They are very good. Perfect taro, salt, and very little oil taste. Note: don’t look at front from the road and assumed closed as it always looks closed. You must look at the right side porch and note the side door entrance. Try some local hand made chips they are worth it.

I can’t recommend the sweet potato chips enough. the place is just an old room with four boxes of chips each a different flavor, and it’s $8 per bag. they’re great and worth it

cash only

Great taro chips! Worth the stop/detour. The place doesn’t look like much but the best ones often don’t. I just wish I would have bought more! The chips were super thinly sliced, extra crunchy but not oily – just delicious flavour! A must go on the ‘west coast’.

Rude service. They had 3 varieties available today, my husband asked about the flavors and was rudely told “read the label”. The storefront area is very dark and small, the chips are in a cardboard box on a table. Cash only.

Some of the most delicious chips I have eaten. The taro ko and sweet potato chips are good, but the flavor of the potato chips is amazing. If you are in the area, I would stop by and try all three. Be warned, the owner is on island time and comes and goes as he pleases and everything is on a first come first serve basis, so good luck… may the odds be ever in your favor.

It felt like I was buying chips from the side of someone’s house, but the taro chips were good. Kind of pricey though at $8 per bag.

Great (actually amazing) taro chips. Definitely worth a stop to pick up a bag on your way back from the canyon. His sign painted on his house, so you can’t miss it before you enter the touristy part of town (If you come from the highway). Entrance is on the side of the doors open, it’s literally the guys kitchen. Cash only.

Building was shabby and very relaxed. Very few chips remaining @ 2pm. No tour or information of the process available.
