Well let me tell ya what. I’ve drove by this place for years and never thought about stopping. Well, before the ice storm of the century, I stopped. It smelled so good outside I couldn’t resist. So, me and my puppy, yes. My dog, got a bite to go. I got us the slices BBQ tray with fries. And my world, me and my dog have never had anything so delicious. I was home honestly worried about the quality. Especially with it being out in the country. But I was wrong. The barbecue was just melt in your mouth good. So seriously I suggest and if you look at my profile you will see that I am a barbecue connoisseur. So I seriously suggest you come and try this place even if it’s out of the way it is worth it. But don’t take my word for it come and try for yourself I’m sure they’ll appreciate it

First time here.

Coarse chopped Pork, I had hoped I would get some brown, but didn’t. The meat was smoked well and very tender and moist

I was a little disappointed in the dip; it needed more tang to it.

The BBQ Slaw, aka Red Slaw was good.

The Hush Puppies were good, but not outstanding though.

French Fries, I like fries but, I’ll bypass if I make it back.

Banana Pudding is my favorite of deserts. Where were the Nilla wafers? Ok it was good but room for improvement.

Great food! Best hospitality! Had chicken, pork, brisket, hush puppies, and beans. Everything was fantastic. Wish we lived closer to eat here everyday

Their food is amazing! You have to go here. It’s definitely a local barbecue diner. We were not disappointed. We have already gone back and it is 20 miles out of the way! Also the weight staff we had a young girl I forgot her name though unfortunately was very helpful and our tea glasses were never empty.
**Update went in to pick up some lunch, and the waitresses name is Autumn. Awesome service thank you Autumn.

The Best BBQ prices in Davidson County. Really Good BBQ too. We just got the $22 ( 1 and 1/4 lb. Chopped BBQ Special w/ 1 pint of BBQ slaw, 1/2 pint of BBQ dip and 6 buns ) We also ordered a large fries to go with it. $27 total after taxes. YOU CAN’T BEAT IT ! The food was delicious.

BBQ was moist and tasty. It had the right amount of smoky flavor in my opinion. I had a chopped plate with red slaw (delicious), seasoned fries, and baked beans. Plentiful portions, we’re very reasonably priced.

As an Eastern style guy, I was surprised how much I enjoyed my chopped BBQ sandwich. The warmed Lexington style sauce was tasty as well. The hush puppies and fried ocra were on point. However, the fries and hotdog were cold in the center so I took over a star for that and I cant let Lexington win the bbq battle. Overall it was delicious so I will return on a Saturday for the brisket. Waitstaff was attentive and very friendly. Good value as well.

This is a good BBQ place with plenty of other options. The Chicken Casserole was very tasty as-was the fried corn nuggets. I tried the Loaded Q-Dog which is a red (think Bright Leaf) hot dog in a nice sized sub roll with an overwhelming amount of Lexington style BBQ pulled pork and red slaw. It is served with a cup of Lexington style BBQ dip which is a tomato and vinegar sauce that flows freely and has a bi of heat and spices. Fried squash was a little soggy and under-cooked on the inside in my opinion. I’d suggest a faster hotter fryer for more crispy outside and less oil absorbed. Overall a nice place with really nice attentive staff. Location is about 10 miles from Downtown Lexington. I’d love to come back and check out more of the daily specials that include BBQ chicken, meatloaf, and steak.

Super kind. They make sure you have everything you need. I wasn’t sure about Coke zero or Pepsi zero and they offered me a sample before I purchased. Total class, thank you for such great customer service
