The toilets are right at the back down a very narrow corridor. The ladies toilet I would avoid if possible, the actual toilet rocked back and forth and it didn’t really flush.
This isn’t a wheelchair accessible restaurant due to how small the area is inside and the steps.
The Guancia di manzo is a must-order — incredibly tender, rich, and slow-braised to perfection. The risotto ai frutti di mare was creamy, aromatic, and generously filled with seafood, while the tiramisu was light, smooth, and a satisfying classic finish.
We also enjoyed the beers Agricola and Pizzica, both crisp and refreshing alongside the meal.
A pleasant surprise was the focaccia served before the meal with balsamic vinegar and olive oil — fluffy, and absolutely delicious, easily one of the highlights.
Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was great and very welcoming, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
Authentic flavours, cosy atmosphere, and excellent hospitality — would happily come back again!
For starters, we had roasted pork with some salad leaves, cheese and balsamic vinegar – the pork was delicious and the whole dish tasted really fresh and bright. The other starter was arancini with meat sauce; it was decent enough, but not particularly memorable.
After the starters, we waited about 15 minutes and then the mains started coming. We had beef cheek (the beef was braised until incredibly tender and full of flavour, but not dry at all), a seafood risotto (the seafood was super fresh and bouncy, and the risotto was perfectly al dente – people who aren’t used to it might find it too firm, but I thought it was spot on), and orecchiette with meat sauce (it came with a big chunk of roasted pork, again really tasty, and of course the pasta was al dente and clearly freshly made). The portions were surprisingly generous – perfect for big eaters like us.
At the end, we planned to order tiramisu for dessert. But when we asked, the waiter (who I’m pretty sure is the owner) said, “No, you can’t.” We were like, what happened – sold out? Turns out he was joking and said, “No, you can’t, I have to bring you the dessert menu first! Apart from tiramisu, the other desserts are great too!” In the end we ordered the tiramisu and the chocolate fondant.
The tiramisu was wonderfully rich and aromatic, and the best part was that it wasn’t too sweet – just right for my taste. The chocolate fondant was, of course, also excellent and delicious. After we finished, we all agreed on one thing: we’re definitely coming back.
The restaurant is tiny, but it feels homely and cosy. We loved it was super dog friendly too.
Thank you so much for the lovely lunch, for the amazing friendly service. We will be back to try the pizzas too as they looked spectacular.
This place is a bit easy to miss as there’s lots of other restaurants around it but I’m glad we went in here.
