We saw this food truck and decided to give it a try. The service was pretty fast, and the staff was friendly and easy to talk to, which was nice.
Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t really hit the mark. The chicken quesadilla was very salty, the chicken in particular was heavily over-salted, to the point where it was hard to finish. That was the main issue.
On a positive note, the sauces were actually really good and flavorful. Overall, the experience was okay because of the service, but the food wasn’t very enjoyable for us this time.

Taquitos Mi Rancho is one of the best taco spots I’ve been to in San Marcos! It’s a food truck setup with a nice big parking lot where cars park, and the waiters actually come up to each car with the menu — which I found to be a really nice and thoughtful touch. They also have some seating available if you prefer to sit outside.
When I went, the sky was clear and there was a cool breeze even though it was the end of summer — the whole atmosphere just felt perfect for enjoying good food.
Now, the food itself — amazing! They have plenty of options like mini tacos, tortas, quesadillas, burritos, and a variety of refreshing lemonades. I personally loved the mini tacos — each one comes with a slice of avocado, and the price feels totally fair for the quality and portions.
They also give you lots of sides: grilled onions, pickled onions, pickled jalapeños, and pico de gallo — everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was great too — the waiters were friendly, fast, and attentive.
Overall, it’s a fantastic taco place to hang out with friends or just grab a quick bite. Definitely recommend if you’re in San Marcos!

Came here after seeing the 4.7 star review rating. What I loved was the employees come to your vehicle to take your order almost like a mini restaurant. Prices for food is reasonable. The tacos were delicious. I tried the pineapple agua Fresca and it’s 10/10.

If you’re looking for genuinely authentic and high-quality mini tacos, look no further than Taquitos Mi Rancho. I tried a mix of chorizo and lengua (cow tongue), and the lengua tacos were easily some of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was prepared perfectly—so tender and moist—making every bite delicious.
Their commitment to flavor extends to their condiments; the hot and green sauces were fantastic. What sealed the deal for me was the inclusion of an actual freshly grilled jalapeño—a true treat for anyone who loves real spice!
My only regret is that the tripa (intestines) were sold out, but that just guarantees I’ll be coming back very soon to sample more of their menu. Incredible food, great experience. ✨️

Love this place! I get pastor tacos everytime and it never misses. Agua Fresca is natural, not powder such a plus. You can drive in and they will come up to take your order at your car, or you can get out and order yourself as well as sit in their picnic tables. Staff is lovely and the food makes this place a 10/10 for me. I’m sure the rest of their food is delicious as well.

Their carne asada and chorizo street-style tacos are unreal—juicy, smoky meat on fresh corn tortillas, topped with just onion, cilantro, and a lime kick. Grabbed three for like $6, scarfed them at a picnic table. Absolute fire, best quick bite near the university.

This Food truck has figured out the secret to GREAT food and GREAT service!!! I have dined here already 8 times in the last 21 days and I am NEVER disappointed!!! I love the Agua Frescas they serve and the mini tacos are ALWAYS a hit… the prices are great and the food portion size is on point… My grandchildren love this place!!!
