If you’re visiting Walla Walla,
***Taqueria Yungapeti***
is a non-negotiable must-stop. My wife and I have made this our mandatory “leaving town” ritual for over five years. It isn’t a fancy, sit-down white-linen type of place, but the food quality and friendly service beat out almost everywhere else in the state.
Our favorites are
My go-to.
The California Burrito (Campechano Meat): which is steak and chorizo mix. It’s a game-changer.
My wife’s go-to.
Chicken Burrito Huge, fresh, and perfectly balanced with rice and beans.
Breakfast: The Chorizo & Potato burrito is absolute fire. Just a heads-up unless you have a bottomless pit for a stomach, you don’t need sides, but if you find yourself still hungrey the service is fast too.
Whatever you do, don’t miss the salsa bar. But consider this your warning: the orange salsa is habanero. It’s tasty as hell, but it packs some serious heat!
Hands down the best burritos and tacos in town. You won’t leave hungry, and you definitely won’t leave disappointed.

Quick service with amazing food! You place your order before you sit and then they bring the food out to you. Everything we ordered as very flavorful and the portions were perfect too. We got some pozole, menudo, fajita quesadilla, jamaica, horchata, and a tostada. We forgot to take pictures of everything, but it was great! I took a photo of the quesadilla all late. There were 2 more huge pieces that came with that.

The food was amazing. I enjoyed fresh empanada which were cut and stuffed with chicken. The chicken was excellently seasoned and so moist. They provide several fresh made salsa included with thr meal and were excellent. Serving sizes were very good and very worth it.

HIGHLY recommend!!! The authentic Mexican food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor with generous portions. I was impressed by the incredible friendly service and the atmosphere was extremely clean and welcoming with quality wood tables and booths all decorated with beautiful artwork. We were traveling but will definitely come back! The Hawaiian tacos are amazing and make sure to treat yourself with a raspberry churro.

Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. What an incredible place. I’ve been coming here since 2004 and it seems like it gets better every time and the same smiling faces greet you at the door!

Overall, really liked it. Good atmosphere, good food, great prices.
Service was quick and friendly, food was plentiful and delicious. The self-serve salsa bar is a nice feature. Their menu is extensive… and hard to read, since they use a white cursive font on a changing-photo background

We’d heard great things about their breakfast burrito but no need to go back. The burrito lacked cheese and sausage, it was mainly egg and it was pretty dry. The sopes were okay. Service was okay. The woman was friendly but on a drive thru headset taking our order at the same time as a car. I also felt the decorations were pretty tacky.
