Great casual taqueria! The cocktails were tasty and the food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the al pastor torta. The beef quesabirria was very good but very rich – I wouldn’t have been able to eat all three but it was perfect to split with my husband. Next time I’d get the birria taco. And who doesn’t love cheese fries!! The fries are cooked and seasoned to perfection.

Among the best tacos in Washington, D.C. are at Taqueria Xochi and now they have a location in Navy Yard. Next to Bluejacket, this taco spot is spacious and comes with a surprisingly robust cocktail list too.
Walk in and order at one of their tablet stations or just sit down and scan the QR code on the table. Within minutes, your food comes.
I enjoyed the elote since it’s literally corn, mayo, and cheese. Mix it together. It’s full of flavor. The birria nachos were filling and comes with a dip. The Mexican hot chocolate was among the best in the city.

We came here for lunch and enjoyed our meals! Ordered the quesabirria tacos, the steak (trompo style) tacos, and Mexican hot chocolate. Food came out quick and fresh (we chose to order through the QR code, but you can order with your server as well).

Absolutely phenomenal. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared — you can tell everything is made with real care. The birria is rich and tender, the salsas are bright without being overpowering, and the tortillas taste like they were just made moments before hitting your plate.
Service is friendly and fast, even during busy hours, and the team clearly takes pride in what they’re doing. The space is clean, the vibe is relaxed, and it’s the perfect place to stop for a quick lunch or to bring friends who appreciate legitimately great Mexican food.
If you’re anywhere near Navy Yard, go. This is easily one of the best casual eats in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Stopped by after work for a quick happy hour, and had such a great time! The Jamaica (not like the country… [ha-my-kah! It means hibiscus!] margarita was so, good. A little floral, a little sweet, and just the right amount of tart. We had a little taste of their Paloma which is also really easy and delicious.
The medium salsa is really nice! A little smoky, and very flavorful. The tacos were good too, and all around, we will be back.
Very excited to see this new place and hope they thrive here!

Very good food and atmosphere! Loved our server! Friend wanted Mexican rice but it wasn’t on the menu. There weren’t any shrimp dishes neither but we were very satisfied with what we had. Server had no issues applying our preferences.

I am a regular here. Tonight was a bit crazy because Fredies who always makes sure we’re ok was told that he talks too much by someone in the kitchen, I think it was the Sunday manager. He is one of the best bar tenders I’ve ever met. He always makes sure we’re ok and I’ve noticed that others at the bar love him. We love Fredies. He is the one that keeps us and my friends coming back. On a long day, he provides perfect customer service. Every Sunday he provides great customer service.
I encourage everyone to go meeet Fredies at the bar

Had the pleasure of trying the newest Xochi location the other day and it did not disappoint. The drinks at this location are incredible—they really elevated the beverage program despite already having a strong one at the other locations. The TV’s make this a great spot to catch a game. Highly recommend.
