We used to eat at this location way back in the day when it was a different restaurant, so had to come try out this new place! If it’s your first time you can sample their meats- what a nice touch! We loved the al pastor the best but honestly all were delicious! Even the shredded chicken! Chips are the thick kind- and served warm. My favorite! Queso is delicious- order guac as well! Freshly made and served cold! Quesabirria & Mojarra a la Diabla – the seasoning on the dish was delicious! Our servers were friendly and you could tell they enjoyed their work. That makes a huge difference. The decor is lively & colorful.

Taqueria San Julián is an absolute gem in Edmond! The food is bursting with flavor, and every visit feels like a trip south of the border. The Torre de Mariscos is on another level — fresh shrimp, octopus, and avocado stacked beautifully with a zesty kick that wakes up your taste buds. Their street tacos are just as incredible — perfectly seasoned meats, soft tortillas, and all the right toppings. You can taste the care and authenticity in every bite.
Friendly service, great prices, and that relaxed taqueria vibe make this place hard to beat. Whether you’re craving a hearty seafood tower or a quick taco fix, Taqueria San Julián delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious and authentic! Taqueria San Julian is a true hidden gem in Edmond. I ordered the pastor and cabeza street tacos, and both were amazing! The pastor had that perfect smoky-savory flavor, and the cabeza was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The plate also came with fresh radishes and lime wedges, perfect for a refreshing crunch and a pop of acidity to brighten every bite. You can tell everything is made fresh, from the soft corn tortillas to the toppings of cilantro and onion.
My husband ordered the quesabirria, and it was the ultimate comfort food — crispy, cheesy, and served with a rich consommé for dipping. The flavors were bold and satisfying, ideal for anyone who loves that authentic birria experience. The chips, salsa, and queso blanco were also fresh and tasty, a great start to the meal.
The atmosphere is colorful and welcoming, and the staff are friendly, warm, genuine, and attentive. You can really feel the love and authenticity in every bite. Definitely one of THE BEST taco spots in the OKC/Edmond area! ❤️

Stopped in for a meal and had a mixed experience overall. The food was hit or miss — the pork chimichangas were excellent, crispy and flavorful, easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the chicken chimichangas were too mushy, and the rice and beans were disappointing, lacking both texture and taste. The guacamole was bland and could’ve used more seasoning and lime to bring it to life.
Drinks were served in bottles, which isn’t a huge deal, but refills cost $3.25 each, which adds up quickly. On top of that, there’s a 3.5% fee for paying with a card, which is only mentioned on the back of the menu.
Our waitress seemed a little out of it, but she was very polite and kind, which made the experience more pleasant despite the hiccups.
A decent spot if you stick with the pork chimichangas, but the sides, pricing, and extra fees make it hard to fully recommend.
The decorations were excellent, bright and very inviting. The giant chicken made me do a double take on the way out lol.

One of my students recommended this spot, so I decided to stop by and I’m so glad that I did. Living in Edmond, it was an easy choice, and definitely not a disappointing one. The food was excellent, the margaritas were delicious, and the meats were incredibly fresh and seasoned to perfection. Great prices, too. If you’re in the area, check them out, it’s absolutely worth it.

Let me start off by saying that the restaurant is a work of art! Love the artwork and the deco action!!! No veteran or military discount but that’s alright, no worries. I ordered a shrimp burrito and chicken street tacos. It took longer than expected but man! That food was fresh! The ingredients were fresh, too. Super worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant after that experience!

New place so I understand there are some issues. Food is good. Street tacos are solid. They say they are authentic Mexican. I’d like to see them make their own corn and flour tortillas. If they do there not great. Their cheese sauce, salsa and sauces are good. They don’t serve iced tea? So if you don’t drink soda and are not having a beer or margaritas your only option is water which is not smart on their part. Server was nice but completely lost.. Lastly they wouldn’t turn the AC down? It was warm! Very warm in the restaurant.
