I stopped in this deli, rather than the nearby Walgreens, to support small and local businesses. I grabbed a 12 pack of Corona and as I got to the counter, the woman asked the cook in Spanish “what’s the price they charge?”. She must’ve thought I didn’t understand the answer being $26 because when I went to pay with my card , she intentionally punched in $28 on the credit card machine. When I confirmed the price she typed back to her IN SPANISH , she froze not expecting me to know what her coworker said. I walked out without purchasing as she tried to convince me that she’ll change the price to $26. I drove myself back to Walgreens and bought my beer on sale for $15.99.
