Did a last minute pull over while driving through for a quick lunch and so happy I did! Yummy traditional street tacos, their tamales are SO good, probably one of the best I’ve had. 100% worth it if you’re craving authentic street tacos!

I live extremely close to this spot. It started off pretty cool in 2022 when the tacos were cheap and a hood value for the price and quality when they were 1.50 then they went up to 1.75, then 2 dollars, then 2.50 and even more. Also worste of all one time there was a caterpillar or centipede in my lamb taco yuuk ot grossed me out seeing it. I dont know if they did it on purpose or if ot was somehow in the meat packaging, but they should have seen it when they were cooming it, which shows neglegence or cruelty one or the other . The only reason you will see this placed packed sometimes at night is because we live in a food desert college city where tipsy kids after a party might flood in. The parrots and cats are cool as well as the set-up but the rising prices and bugs in food is what stopped me from going. Wouldn’t want you to have to experience what I did.

Wow, talk about flavor that speaks for itself! I ordered the grande quesadillas with cheese, onion, and cilantro topped it off with sour cream and their spicy verde sauce, and let’s just say my taste buds did a happy dance. Open 24 hours, and I’m 200% sure Taqueria Ruby is destined for a storefront soon.

It would be hard to have a street taco disappoint, and they didn’t. Food was good. Price was average, worker was helpful. Thankfully, we made it before the rush. This place gets slammed.

Overpriced tacos in a unique but odd setting.
I paid $29 for 9 tacos and a watered-down horchata. The asada wasn’t bad, but the portions were small for the price. The atmosphere was strange, with a large cage holding one big parrot and two smaller ones (a pretty cute bonded pair that knew how to say hola), a tropical theme, and a dusty shed.
Overall, it’s a taco spot in an area with limited options, so college students will enjoy it, but I won’t be returning.

Came by to grab 2 burritos, ground beef, with everything, all the way. What i got when I got home was a burrito made for rabbits. 85% of the burrito was lettuce and maybe a table spoon of ground beef. They suck

I asked for a burrito and got just meat and cheese and the lady charged me $12. If I wanted a quesadilla I would’ve asked for one at that burrito was made poorly.

Wish they weren’t open 24 hours. One taco (carnitas) tasted like the pork had been cooked a couple days ago & what we got clearly sat in the bottom of the warming pan WAY too long (see pic). Tasted burnt & dry. Other pastor taco was better. Tamale was pretty tasteless (barely one star for that).
