What a gem! My wife and I are so happy we stumbled on this place. The outside might look suspect to some but the inside is super well done and very clean. Once we order they brought over chips with some of the freshest salsa in Charlotte. Theres a nice medium heat in the salsa. My wife had the chicken flautas with a fresh horchata. She loved them both. I had two pastor and an asada taco. When I tell you this is the best pastor meat I’ve had since leaving Texas, believe it! Tender and juicy while still tasting like pork with only a hint of pineapple. Deserts look legit. Will have to try next time.

I’m hesitant to write this because I don’t want this place to blow up. We decided to check this place out on our way home and wow are we so glad we did! We ordered a chicken burrito, chicken flautas, and asada quesadilla. The flautas were amazing! Light, crispy not stale at all and the chicken in side was so good! Well seasoned, just all around delicious! As someone who’s from LA, I miss good Mexican food and this is going to be my go to! They have taco Tuesday deals too, so definitely check them out! I know I’ll be going back for sure!

Me and my wife were looking to try some authentic Mexican food near charlotte area, we came across taqueria number 1 and decided to try it.. we traveled for around 30 mins from near UNC in a hope to get our taco cravings satisfied… and we were not wrong..
We ordered chicken, steak and pork tacos.. along with chicken papusa, and chicken and steak flautas… everything was just perfect.. the taste was authentic and delicious..
just fyi: the chicken flautas are better in taste than steak ones..
We will definitely be coming here to try other dishes.. the prices are good for the portion size., they do have taco Tuesday which the server mentioned to try out..

Absolutely incredible experience! This place might look like a small hole-in-the-wall, but the food and hospitality are next level. I ordered the Chicken, Steak, and Pork Sopes along with Chips and Queso. Everything was hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor; authentic, and perfectly cooked. The staff were so kind and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. My only complaint? I was way too full to keep eating! I’ll definitely be back soon to try more of their menu. Hidden gem for sure!

Each dish, including the appetizers, expressed Mexican authenticity in delicious and savorous ways. The food was authentic, we have been living in Charlotte for over 7 years and struggle to find good Mexican food! The birria quesadillas were amazing along with the sopes and the churro bites were also amazing!! We most definitely recommend this place and will be going back. The owner and all the staff were amazing as well!

Had a wonderful lunch here today! Super high quality food, nothing is frozen and even the tortillas are handmade. Everyone was so sweet and the food was ready in less than 10 min. Beautiful interior with plenty of space to hang out. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you!!

Stopped in for lunch after a nice walk around Evergreen Nature Preserve. I have a soft spot for small taquerias and this place did not disappoint. My son and I ordered the cheese dip along with sopes and gorditas. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous. You get three sopes or gorditas and your choice of three proteins. They are made to order and served hot with red and green chili sauce. They have so many other great menu items and I wish we could have tried more.

This place is so delicious! I stopped by for the very first time and immediately noticed how clean the place was, the great smell, and friendly staff. I got the birria pizza and it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Such a great place, definitely recommend!

I honestly love this place, The service is so nice and funny. the smell of the food is fantastic and the taste of the chicken I had was mesmerizing. The Pollo loco is my personal favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant. The Tiramisu was amazing.
