WOW!!!
We ordered a “lunch” size plate of flounder with baked potato and coleslaw. What came out was three HUGE flounder filets (lightly breaded and gently cooked to perfection:); a huge baked potato, at least a cup of slaw and 4 hush puppies! The food was around $11 for all that AND it tasted good and was cooked fresh.
Sweet waitstaff, very comfortable and felt like visiting family.
Nice find.
The staff are super nice. The fish/shrimp is excellent, the portion size is large, and the price is on point.
We will definitely be back. It’s a good ride to destination for lunch.
About 6 miles west of Carthage right on the highway 24-27.
A very popular place for breakfast and lunch.
Home made biscuits with sausage gravy, biscuit sandwiches or their lunch specials can’t be beat.
I have been there several times when in the area and have never been disappointed with the portions, price or service.
Very friendly folks and worth the stop.
In on a Thursday at 5 for their catfish dinner.
The place was jammed.
Heard it was really good.
ORDERED:
Large catfish plate with onion rings, hushpuppies &
coleslaw. $11.00 Very Good
Will go back for sure.
This place just feels right — like where the locals gather and everybody’s a regular. I went for the flounder special, and I’ll tell you what — it was better than most you’ll find anywhere on the coast. Came with my favorite crinkle-cut fries, creamy coleslaw, and hush puppies that hit the spot.
My wife had the BLT, and she couldn’t stop talking about how fresh the tomato was and how much bacon they packed in there.
Service was friendly, food came out hot and fast, and you could tell they care about doing things right.
If you’re passing through, do yourself a favor — stop when you see that busy parking lot and eat with the locals. You’ll be glad you did.
