If you miss your moms food, this is the place
. From the hand made corn tortillas, to the rice and beans and everything in between. Taste fresh and homemade.

I am originally from a small town, so I love a good hole in the wall mexican restaurant. This place reminds me so much of home. They have a large menu to choose from and the food is outstanding, so the price definitely reflects the quality of food you’re getting. I definitely plan to be back soon, the Birria was so good as well as the street tacos.

This was my first time going to this location. I was incredibly disappointed. I went for breakfast tacos because it was near where I live. I ordered five breakfast tacos that were supposed to be bacon and egg add cheese, beans, and potatoes. They charged me $2.50 for the beans ($.50 per taco) and $5 for the potatoes ($1 per a taco). There was no charge for the cheese, so I assumed that it was added without a charge. I also requested both red hot sauce and green hot sauce, plus pico de gallo. They told me that the pico came in the small size like the red and green salsa, but that there was a charge, so I said that was fine. They charged me $1.50 for a side of guacamole… I assumed that was just how they ring it up and didn’t have a button for pico de gallo when ringing up the total. Nope. I shouldn’t have assumed anything. What I received was five tacos with bacon, potatoes, and eggs only, one small container of guacamole which I requested to change to pico de gallo, which is what I asked for… Who knows if the pico de gallo cost the same amount or not. There was no cheese and there were no beans. There was also no salsa other than the small container of pico. The total for all this was nearly $30. What a rip off!

First time did not disappoint! We tried 8 different tacos: barbacoa was so good, chicken was juicy but not flavorful, steak was great flavor but a little over cooked (still delish), pastor was different but we both really liked it, chicharrón was surprisingly a favorite!, carnitas… *chefs kiss*, pablano was a good vegetarian option, & the lengua (cow tongue) was very very good if you like that softer texture of meat. Green sauce = red sauce = . Rice & beans were boring, kind of flavorless, but standard.
We will definitely be back to try more & get some of the ones we really liked. The woman who took our order was friendly & helpful. The food came out super quick too!

Overall, the taste is very good. The steak is very dry, and meal No. 1 is even drier.

We were going back to Alvarado, TX from Winstar Casino…we were hungry, we initially stopped at Chili’s, but we seen this restaurant at a distance. We were not disappointed, we ordered tortas, flautas, and elote. All very good. The only negative, they are not willing to substitute.

This is my favorite taco place and trust me I’ve tried a few others to make a fair comparison. The food is made to order so there’s a minimal wait. The tacos are good and they even come with a side of grilled potatoes, onion and a jalapeño. We’ve also had their menudo which was pretty good too.

I came looking for barbacoa and I got served some other type of meat. Didn’t even tasted like real barbacoa. Taco Cabana’s barbacoa believe it or not, is better.

I was impressed with the food at this new location. Everything tasted very fresh. The Carne Guisada was very good. I have also had a burrito and it was also very good and fresh. My only complaint would be having to spend an additional $3.50 to get chips and salsa when dining in.
