I love, love, love this place ever since I moved here from socal. It reminds me of the pastor you can only get there. Unfortunately the last 3-4 times I’ve eaten there my tacos are dripping with oil and the meat has sooo much fat in it that I don’t want to eat it. Sooo much grease that it soaked through both tortillas and is swimming in a pool of grease and oil. Not what I expect to see from people who have love for their food. I hope they read this and fix some things that are wrong, but it general I think it’s a good place

The best tacos in Durham. Little hole in the wall place with great prices (around $13 for 4 tacos). Chorizo is amazing. The carnitas are also very good but they have too much fat in it for my liking (very easy to just take it off though). Highly recommend.

Don’t be afraid, the menu has English translations and the people are SUPER friendly! Food is fantastic . . . . hands down the best lengua tacos I’ve ever had.
Portions are large, price is great, and self-serve chips and massive salsa/fixings bar a great touch. Use caution though, the salsas are FIERY HOT!

I really don’t understand how some business stay afloat… I got tacos, tripe, tongue and chorizo. Chorizo just tastes like the lowest quality, tripe was kinda rancid, anyways, never coming back to this place.

This place was disgusting. I ordered tacos “Al pastor” and they tasted as if they were from the previous day. Tacos were dry and had an unpleasant taste. I spoke to the cashier about it and said she couldn’t do anything about it. In my opinion if she states it was fresh then maybe she should’ve ate them herself. Don’t recommend dried tacos from here 🙂 Lady was also rude about it. Poor service.

The food was pretty good. If you venture to the salsa bar, be warned that all of the salsas are super hot except the green one. The music was pretty loud.

Wow, you know the phrase ” Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, this’s it.
it’s not in a “nice” area, pics are outdated, you can’t see anything inside from the outside.
But the first thing I was hit with was a “Clean smell”, which is very rare in a restaurant, most time is the smell of the food. second ; clean place and very nice ” traditional-moder decour”. Thirth; I ordered a steak gordita & sope , love them not very grease, and they have a salsa bar..
4th; prices are fair.
And since I order to go , I didn’t have the time to check the bathroom….

The food was good, fish filets. But the drink…. no way, I do not recommend this place for drinks, maybe water or fountain drink. I asked for a michelada and I did not get a michelada. The bartender does not know how to make one. After a couple sips, i Asked our server if she could take it back and take it off my ticket, she said yes. Then proceed to charge me a large michelada. I spoke to the manager and he said too bad if you didn’t drink it, so I asked for my drink back if they were gonna charge it. They had already took it to the back for the cooks to drink and i saw them pour it in a to go container for me. Ewww. I’m mexican and I’ve worked mexican restaurants for almost 10 years and they were plain rude about it, not a way to treat customers. . I do not recomend this place, if there a mistake, you will get a too bad from owner and manager. they get 1/10 stars
