Now, Taqueria Mexico offers in its 3 locations a wide menu of several traditional Mexican dishes while maintaining their original flavors. Well, first time at this restaurant, we went because a death in the family and we all went there.And had a buffet style.There was about thirty of us. Let me tell you.The food was authentic, very good delicious.The staff was super excellent.Always kept our glasses full of water or tea.Whatever you had and we’re always checking around to make sure you were good when we were done eating.They cleaned our plates and overall great experience.Recommend you should try.

Waitress was rude and the food was just alright. Nothing special, which was sad because my mom loves to come here every time she has a Dr. Appt at KU Med, which we all know dr.s appt are never the best. This place was supposed to cheer her up and did the complete opposite. The tamale was dry and hard. They told her it was made days prior and that’s just how they are towards the end of the batch. So sad. And my shrimp was borderline questionable . Maybe just an off day.

We left KU for another restaurant on the Blvd then made a U Turn to come here..I remembered we’d eaten there before and it was good.
First of all, parking was better than we looked at a few blocks away.
The place is so well appointed with just the right amount of traditional flair.its also exceptionally clean and well maintained
Our House Margheritas were delicious as was the food.
I had a lunch combo with taco and enchiladas . Mine was delightful. Husband had a dinner combo which included a tamale a taco and burrito with rice and beans. He said his was also delicious. He made a point to say how good the Tamale tasted. He said very fresh tasting.
Our server was very attentive.
We were given plenty of time and space to finish our drinks as we watched a bit of the Olympics.
Great experience and I’m certain we’ll return.

I got the enchilada 3 amigos with rice and refried beans. It is delicious! It has 3 sauces (I forget what sauces on them), the sauces were awesome! The only thing is, the cheese dip was ok. But other than that, excellent!

A little taste of Mexico in KC! If your looking for an authentic experience this is the place. The service was excellent, the vibe literally made me feel like I was in Mexico. From the music to the decor and definitely the food. I give the food an 8 out of 10 it was really good. The next time I go I will try one of their extremely large margaritas. They appear to have many flavors.

Food was just okay. I wasn’t blown away at all. The red sauce tasted a little different. Salsa and chips were great. Tamales were disappointing, too. However, I was with my family, so that’s all that mattered. The Mariachi band outside was awesome, though.

Oh my goodness, Taqueria’s salsa is soo yummy!! This was a nice stop for lunch. Clean, inviting atmosphere, and our waitress was super nice. Our food arrived quickly with barely any wait time.

My son is in the hospital here at 17 years old battling stage 4 testicular cancer. We had a friend that’s a local bring us ground beef & cheese enchiladas for my son, and a ground beef and cheese chimichanga out chips and white queso. My son hadn’t stopped talking about for 3 hours now! Haha He said “mom the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. This food changed me! I’m mad I’m full! I’m going to have the other enchilada for breakfast. I need to get to sleep fast so I can wake up and eat it quicker!” I have not seen him this happy and healthy in a long time and I am SO grateful. My chimichanga was great too! Thank you so much for bringing us so much joy!

All of their dishes are with meat. If you don’t eat meat they will substitute the meat with anything you want. I chose beans since I dont eat meat. Their food and service are both great. I jad the taco salad and it filled me up.
