We came here for the molcajete and it did not disappoint! The portion was huge and beautifully presented—packed with tender shrimp, juicy steak, flavorful chicken, grilled cactus, cheese, and veggies in a bubbling hot stone bowl. I first discovered Taqueria Mariscos during the pandemic and was looking for a good burrito place. I think I did a quick internet search and Taqueria Mariscos came up advertising shrimp burritos. I love me some shrimp so I figured why not. Upon my very first visit I was greeted with the sweetest woman I have ever met in a customer service capacity. Her name is Maria and she has warmth to her that reminds you of your own mother. I got the burrito which felt like a small bowling ball in the bag and took it home. Shared it with my wife because it was easily shareable and we inhaled that burrito secretly wishing we both had our own. Our next visit we ordered two but both of us ended up having leftovers. I may have only had a bite or two leftover. What I am trying to describe is effectively shrimp burrito bliss. The shrimp are very large, my assumption is the 13-15 count size per pound range and perfectly cooked. The rice is fluffy and flavorful and the grilled veggies are a perfect accompaniment. What makes this burrito remarkable though is the diablo sauce which is not very spicy to be honest but oh so rich and delicious. That along with the green sauce that comes on the side just makes this a solid 10/10 burrito. I’ll be honest and say that this burrito is so good that I haven’t even attempted to order anything else. My only complaint is the place is a bit small and though there are some tables outside it’s probably not the ideal place to eat indoors. However, if you are taking your food to go, you will not regret it. Between Maria and the shimp burrito this place gets a 10 out of 5 stars.

We ordered the shrimp tacos and the fish tacos, and both were absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The customer service was spectacular, friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. This place has officially become my new favorite spot for Mexican seafood. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing food and a great dining experience!

I can’t believe I slept on this place for so long. My friend was craving Mexican and the only reason we ended up here is that the other spots on Monument were closed on a Sunday evening. SO glad we found our way here. He saw someone eating the super quesadilla and had to have it. I ordered the fish tacos, and both of our dishes were amazing. So flavorful and authentic- this is unapologetically real Mexican food. The place was packed, and we were the only gringos in there, but they treated us like family and we left stuffed, happy, and already planning our next trip back to try more of the items from the huge menu. This is my new go-to for Mexican food. Period.

The “Tostada Mixta,” is terrible. It’s super bitter and they only give you about 4 shrimps with about 2 cups of cucumbers. Not good at all.
