The food was great. I ordered the smoked Turkey wings. Wow bursting with flavor and real wood chips smoked not the imation liquid smoke. Very friendly service and comfortable environment. Impressed with the soul feeling and flavors Perks Soul Food had to offer. I could see my self sitting there while a blue’s band jamming.

The people are very friendly and inviting however sad to say the food was dissapointing. I ordered the bbq chicken plate. It comes with 3 sides. Instead of red beans and rice i recieved what tasted like the canned campbells pork n beans. Also my chicken looked like it had sat out for quite some time as in cooked previous to the day it was served. It really felt like a left over plate and im truly just glad i didnt pay too much for it.

I ordered the stuff chicken and okra and sausage, shrimp fettuccine. The okra was sweet and the dressing was sweet. I didn’t finish the whole plate, also has me with stomach cramps.
