Edit 8/26 – I had not been here in while. They definitely spruced up the place and it feels more family friendly. Uploaded more photos of the food because it is really delicious. Some reviews deserve to be updated.
Amazing food and amazing people. The only downside of this place is the location. You may get a colorful drunk character here and there on a weekend. But other than that, the food is absolutely worth the wait, which is significant when they are packed. The alambres and the gorditas, and birria tacos are a highlight for me.

They either lost my order or someone took it. Waited almost a half hour for a taco combo with some extra tacos.
Ceiling dusty and staff are not very friendly. I think I’ll stop tipping before I pay.

I always get the Cubana. I get her other stuff like the Mexican corn. Don’t call people who make your food especially here. Friend told me about this place and I told myself about the amazing Green Hot sauces. The red is meh for me. Avocado Salsa and Cilantro salsa delicious or as I say yeah the green ones. Love the people and the vibes 7 stars

Taqueria los Ocampo has a great selection of superb, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. The service is a bit slower, but that is usually due to the large number of orders and the quality of the food. Worth the wait, definitely.
The sauces also have a great kick, which is always a bonus!

I think the place is good, however 1 thing they’ve just let go of is their salsas, they just aren’t good , only one out of 3 is acceptable which is the avocado 1 and even that one lacks flavor, i would highly advice to help yourselves changing that, mexican food depends on it’s salsas to be great, by themselves the plates are no different from any other food in the country and actual Mexicans, Notice.

This is our go to spot for delicious Mexican food, I hate to say it, but we’ve had better tasting food here that in our last two trips to Mexico. So you know it’s amazing.

When I want great service and help from polite workers I visit the Suburban Ave location. The system at this location for customer service is pretty wack starting with the cashier to the pick up/serve area when you grab your food.
The food is great at the Arcade Street location. The late hours are a plus. That’s about it though.
It would be smoother if the young man cashier would ask if the order is for here or to go after greeting the customer without a rude facial expression. Instead of the customer greeting the cashier. To the rude lady workers that serve the food – call out the order number in English and Spanish. Not everyone speaks Spanish. A women looked at me crazy right in my eyes because she called my order number 3 times in Spanish then finally in English. If only you could serve free smiles and easy communication.

I ordered a beef barbacoa quesadilla combo through DoorDash and it was quite good. The beef was so tender and flavorful! I will say that the rice and beans were a bit plain for my liking. I did really appreciate that they included 3 different types of salsas/sauces, as well as napkins and disposable silverware. It’s not the absolute best Mexican food I have had in the twin cities, but it was authentic and pretty tasty overall. I likely will order from here again!

Everything tastes great. Nice & hot. Usually 10-15 min wait. Has a rush around lunch, dinner & late night 9-11
Booths tables not too loud, cold in there though.
Recommend a torta, my favorite everywhere else can’t compare.
Elote is alright wouldn’t have it again. Check out El burrito for best corn.
