If you want authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further. Los Mogotes will keep you coming back in the future for excellent food, a great atmosphere and a wonderful staff. My family and I have gone numerous times and I keep craving their Al Pastor burritos and tacos! We will be going again in the near future! Check them out, you will not regret it!

As far as vegitarian food goes, I was really disappointed. I can’t say anything about the meat dishes since I didn’t try them but they looked much better. I ordered the avocado tacos and they were so bland. There was no flavoring or sauce added. For the price, I expected them to be better.

Firstly, the callee that answers the phone and takes your order is nice and patient when taking your order. However, once I went to pick my food up which was 2 gb tacos, 2 orders of quesadillas, 3 steak tacos you would’ve thought it came with beans or rice or even chips and salsa. Again for my total price it should’ve came with something. You have to pay for cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream etc. on everything. So I’m passed that about now because the food was already ordered. So I go to pay everything is packed so small. Almost thought I didn’t have everything that’s how smushed everything was. I go home to eat my quesadilla and I find this bone in my quesadilla. See picture below. Then on my receipt I’m charged extra cheese twice and didn’t even ask.

This is one of my all-time favorite Taqueria’s. After the recent remodel, their prices are out of sight. Unbeknownst to me when they ask if I’d like chips and salsa, I am now charged $5.49 for it. Guacamole is listed as market price. I don’t mind paying for upscale food, but this Taqueria is just that, a Taqueria. It’s become so expensive that I don’t take my family there any longer. But I will go there if it’s just me and someone else. I’m not sure whether I will keep going at these prices, but I’m certainly going to go less and with less people…. and for God sakes turn down the music. We are there to talk to each other.

This place is authentic. Mexican food by Mexican people You actually see a lot of Mexican people as well as Anglos eating there. We’ve been going there for years and it’s always consistently very good. The staff is always happy and welcoming. Prices are reasonable.

I enjoyed my visit. I was pleased by the atmosphere, the server was kind to our group of students who were practicing their skills navigating the community. I ordered the Nachos Supreme and the Spicy pork Hauraches. Both were very tasty.

The burrito poblano, is … the mole reminds me of my abuelas mole. It is a little hidden, so if you don’t know someone that has been there, you might miss it. You know it’s good, because even in Highland Park, most of the patrons are Mexican.
