The place is inside a gas station with a few tables and chairs for dine-in. I was a bit shy at first because they only spoke Spanish and I was struggling to place my order but the food was worth it! It was $12 for a plate of 3 barbacoa tacos, rice, and beans. The green hot sauce was yummy too (not too hot)!

I’m so grateful I tried this place out. All the food is delicious but most importantly, the flavors are authentic. There are so many dishes here that keep me coming back. All of the soups are bomb. Caldo de Res and pozole are my favorite. Mole enchiladas are amazing. Try the tacos or burritos with bistec or Al pastor. It’s cash only. The prices are great as well.

This is definitely one of Plano’s hidden gems! If you want delicious street tacos, this is the place to be. Their green chicken enchiladas and mole chicken enchiladas will make you wish they had an all you can eat! They are that delicious.
If you want a grilled steak, chicken and shrimp parilla, you will be in food heaven. They also make a delicious tilapia dish and a grilled shrimp dish.
They have an authentic special of the day. This is either Sra. Helena or Sr. Pedro’s creation. It’s awesome not knowing what the special of the day is until you get there!
They make a delicious chicken soup, beef soup with hearty vegetables. If your taste buds desire a seafood soup, they have that too.
On the weekends, they make their traditional pozole and menudo for all. During Christmas, they make chicken, pork and sugar raisin tamales.
This what many of you would refer to as a hole in the wall place, but these are always the best places to eat.
It’s in a gas station building, but “Taqueria la Única” makes this a very cozy and family friendly place. You will see many regulars and it’s great to see Plano Police Officers support this family business. I can honestly say that this place reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking. Their rice and bean an are so authentic and delicious!

second time here, the first time i took it to go, this time i dined in. very disappointed not coming back i had to clean my own table even though the lady at the register and takn orders were just leaning on the counters and just ppl watching, waited to what it seem like eternity. i guess i should’ve expected it when there was a long line of ppl waiting.

Truly an authentic Mexican eatery .
Does not have all the bells and whistles of a restraunt a dive-in kinda place . However it’s not expensive , clean and real home cooked meals. Cash only . I wish the family only the best .
