I went to Roast Sandwich House for breakfast. I ordered the Roast Beef Melt and Country Fried Chicken. Both were really good. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. The roast beef was nice and melted. The chicken was crispy outside and juicy inside. The portions were big and fulfilling. I also liked the bread they use. It’s freshly baked. The staff were friendly. This place is great for a quick bite. They definitely have really good sandwiches. I recommend trying them. It’s a good spot for breakfast or lunch. There’s seatings inside and it’s nice and clean as well.

This place is just as good as the other locations which I have been visiting for many years. The sandwiches are always really great. My favorite is the crispy chicken vodka, Parm hero. They often have specials that are also amazing.

Overall: 3.5 stars rounding up
Flavors: 4.5 stars. Tastes good w/ options.
Meat: 2 stars.
Cost: 3 stars.

Been here 3 times trying to find a good chicken sandwich. The chicken is paper thin and even getting two cutlets on the sandwich is less meat than probably every other place.

Student discounts a plus, but items not on the $11 menu put prices higher than delis.

I’ve been to their other locations, but when I heard this new spot opened right near my office, I didn’t waste any time checking it out. It’s right in the heart of the village, and the space is large, bright, and welcoming. When I stopped by for lunch, it was buzzing with energy — clearly the word is already out.

Instead of going with the classics, I decided to try something new. I ordered the Italian hero and a wagyu burger special with bacon jam and crispy fries. The burger was an absolute flavor bomb — the quality of the meat really stood out, and the bacon jam added a perfect touch of sweetness and depth.

I also got a side of their crispy fries and dipping sauce, along with mac and cheese balls. Both were excellent, but the mac and cheese balls were next level — creamy, cheesy, and perfectly fried.

I’ll definitely be back soon. Great food, great atmosphere, and a perfect lunch spot!

Stopped by this roast sandwich shop for dinner, looking forward to trying their signature offerings after hearing some positive word-of-mouth recommendations.

Food: 4/5 – Opted for the Nashville sandwich, which proved to be both tasty and well-prepared. The execution was solid with fresh ingredients throughout, and I appreciated the care taken in assembly. That said, I found myself wishing for some kind of garnish or side accompaniment to round out the meal experience. No digestion issues. NOTE: There were things you could buy extra like chips.

Service: 2/5 – This was unfortunately where things were no so hot. The staff member barely managed a greeting when I arrived, setting a lackluster tone from the start. When I asked for menu suggestions, hoping to get some insider knowledge about their specialties, the response was mumbled and essentially useless. The person seemed genuinely disengaged, almost as if they were about to fall asleep on their feet. No follow-up service or check-in occurred during my visit.

Ambiance: 3/5 – The space hits that middle-of-the-road sweet spot – nothing particularly offensive, but nothing that stands out either. It’s perfectly adequate for what it is. I will say the air conditioning was working exceptionally well, which was much appreciated given the hot day. They position the soda fridge and takeout shelves in eye sight of the restaurant which seems to say, “We don’t want to see you eat.”

Cleanliness: 3/5 – The main dining area appeared clean and well-maintained overall. However, the bathroom could use some attention and improvement. I also noticed the kitchen staff weren’t wearing hats, which struck me as a basic food safety oversight worth mentioning.

Parking/Accessibility: 2/5 – Not that easy. Street parking requires feeding a meters, and while there are some free lots in the nearby area, you’ll need to factor in extra time to scout out a convenient spot.

Value: 3/5 – For the price point, I expected something more complete. Even a simple addition like a small bag of chips would have enhanced the value proposition significantly. The sandwich quality was there, but the absence of any accompaniments left the meal feeling somewhat incomplete.

Overall: 3/5 – This place lands squarely in decent territory. The food quality shows they know what they’re doing in the kitchen, but the lackluster service and missing touches prevent it from reaching its potential. It’s a reliable option when you need a solid sandwich, but the overall experience doesn’t quite inspire a quick return visit.

For those of us who loved it in Melville, seeing it arrive in Babylon brings real joy.
This is not just another sandwich spot opening its doors.
It is a place many were already rooting for.

The buffalo chicken Caesar wrap is made with care and confidence.
The chicken is well-seasoned.
The buffalo sauce delivers flavor without overpowering the wrap.
The Caesar dressing brings balance and keeps each bite smooth and satisfying.
It is comforting, familiar, and consistently good.

The broccoli cheddar soup was a little bland.
It was rich without being heavy.
The broccoli tastes fresh. The French Fries with special sauce are killer!

The special steak sandwich is where affection turns into loyalty.
The steak is tender and flavorful.
It is cooked properly and treated with respect.
The onion bread supports the sandwich without stealing attention.
Every element works together, which is the mark of a kitchen that cares.

Roast Sandwich House knows who it is.
There is no overreaching or gimmicks.
Just honest food made well, every time.

Babylon is better with Roast Sandwich House in it.
For those who loved it in Melville, this location feels personal.
For those discovering it now, it feels like a place that will quickly become a favorite.

Nice sandwich but the menu isn’t very large. Pretty long wait time for a sandwich (without a line). It’s best to call ahead. Modern atmosphere and friendly staff.

Not your typical sandwich shop. Fresh ingredients, homemade bread, and unique specials! Love that they’ve made this an indoor/outdoor spot definitely contributes to the friendly neighborhood vibe of Babylon Village. We had the buffalo crunch wrap and roast beef dip – the au jus was AMAZING. Can’t wait to come back!
