I randomly Uber’ed tacos from this restaurant, when I first moved into the area, and the rest is history. When I realized how close they were, I started visiting the restaurant with my family. We love the food and staff! The mojarra frita is the best I’ve had, hands down, and my family has enjoyed everything they’ve ever ordered from the menu-my son LOVES the kids breakfast. I also enjoy their cocktails. They have made several renovations, over the last 4-5 years, which has made the store front much more inviting. They gifted me a bottle of wine, when we ordered the day after Christmas! Wish I could have added pics of the food, but my daughter has been away on active duty and missed the flavors of home. She devoured it.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here and decided I’ll try it again this past Sunday and I have to say my experience went great! I had 3 breakfast tacos potato & eggs, chorizo & eggs, and bacon & eggs all served with refried beans on flour tortillas and these tacos were they gave me some green sauce that was also good The establishment was very nice and clean. Plenty of room to eat inside the restrooms were clean. The waitress was very nice. I mean I have zero complaints about my visit. Which leads me to believe that I’ll definitely be back again.

I am writing this as I’m sitting here. This will be a one and done. The main reason is because of the kids meals we ordered 2. One for a 8yo and 3yo. We were told the 8yo was too old to get the drink from the kids menu. The 3yo we ordered the Quesadillita which plainly says comes with 2. It came with only one.

Their Carne Asada La Perla is amazing, the bed of nopales “cactus” that it’s served on is incredible. The Flautas are incredible just the right amount of kick “spice”, lechuga y queso served hot and crispy not soggy. And don’t forget the Horchata!!!!!! Literally best we have found around our area.

I had tostadas. Two. They were delicious. Just bean and cheese with lettuce tomato sour cream and avocado. On corn tortilla.
And unsweet tea with lime.
Chips and salsa (2 types, both pleasingly picante).
A late lunch/dinner meal.
You just cannot go wrong with that combo.
I highly recommend La Perla de Jalisco!

Happenstance, or perhaps the stars aligned, whatever you might think on these things, I consider myself a very lucky soul indeed. Took my daughter to a quinceanera, and it happened to be next to this place. Keep in mind I took my daughter to diner prior to this and had something to eat with her. Well, I was starting to get peckish and thought I might get a snack. I’m so very happy I did. Got the 5 taco deal. Mexican street food type dish. And it’s was delicious, I mean absolutely yummy. Wanted to try the pasole but didn’t have room for both. Go here and eat! The prices are really reasonable and the service is tops. This is a rare place where the food and service are 5 stars with family-friendly prices and atmosphere. Thank you. I’ll be back for pazole!

The food is simply terrible at this place. I’ve now dined here three times and it’s dire. A slushy mess reminiscent of baby food. Quesadillas were the last straw on my recent visit. I asked if they could be made with vegetables instead of meat. I don’t eat meat. The vegetable suggestion from the server was ‘chicken’. I was bemused. We got past that and I specified which veggies I’d like. I made it easy. I chose only two. What came back was a layer of revolting glutinous cheese sandwiched between two soggy store-bought tortillas. No veggies. It had already been an ordeal with the server, who seemed incapable of cracking the slightest smile and struggled to appear remotely interested. I couldn’t be bothered fighting about it. I will NEVER eat there again. One wonders why it is so quiet on a Saturday night. Well, this is why.

Ordered food to go and really got to enjoy tacos de tripa dorada, ordered caldo de res along with sopapillas. It was my first time placing an order to go and it only took 15 mins to pick up my food.
The sopapillas were super delicious

I was unsatisfied with this place. I got fajitas for 2 and they were overpriced, and bland. Meat was tough and tortillas were so chewy. Did not taste fresh. I did enjoy the charros beans & green salsa however, $9 for salsa is insane.
