We used to love coming to this place not only for the food, but for the server! We’ve always had ,saide, i believe is her name, however every Thursday and Friday night that we’ve stopped by she’s not scheduled to work. Ever since this started a few weeks back our customer service experience has been terrible! One waitress was too busy on her phone to be attentive on us, the other had an earbud in her ear seeming to be on the phone, and the other one just kept saying how much she hates people. Absolutely not the best thing to say when you are a server. Until we know our good waitress is back, i don’t think we will continue to eat here. The food is always great, but the food can only go so far when the service is bad.

A delicious meal that was exactly what I wanted. This is true Mexican food, the kind my Abuelita gets excited she didn’t have to cook! The decor is charming, I love all of the small details and hard work that went into making this restaurant a delightful place to share a meal with friends! I had Mexican rice with grilled shrimp…topped with yummy cheese! This was not cloudy water, it is delicious cheese! The waitress was polite, my fountain drink was mixed nicely. My toddler daughter enjoyed her chicken tenders and fries. Thank y’all!

Run of the mill Mexican joint. The staff were super friendly and the location is pretty neat on the square. The food was just….meh. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t anything to rave about. The chips were a little stale. I ordered the Texas quesadilla and I had a hard time finding anything other than chicken inside of it. Given the limited options of food in this area, I think it’s probably rated a little higher than it would be if competition was present.

This place is an absolute gem. I’ve moved to the lake side of Monticello so I’ve only been to downtown Monticello on a hunt for Mexico food besides the two in jackson. The food is pretty amazing from what I’ve ordered (the street tacos). Service was quick and nice!

Really great experience & wonderful food! Totally family owned and run. We got a taco salad & street tacos, which were delicious. Our waitress, Carolina, was awesome as well! Note: if you like it muy caliente, ask for their home made hot sauce made in house.

Fajitas were very tasty but all the meat was overcooked. I had steak, chicken, and shrimp. All were tough. Waitress was excellent, very attentive.

I can’t say much about the menu because I love their asada street tacos so much I get them every time! The margaritas are excellent, and the cheese dip, chips, and salsa are classic.
