Food was delicious. It was the best Al pastor we’ve had since moving to Chattanooga. Their pollo Milanese was nice, and the beans were delicious, and I wish they had given me more. My only complaint is that charged prices were higher than on the menu and signage. My Milanesa was advertised as $16 but I was charged $20. My husband’s taco was $3.75 on the menu and he was charged $4.15. The aqua frescos were the only thing that was the same on the menu as at the cash register. I didn’t complain when we left as I didn’t want to make a scene. I paid before seeing the bill. The place was packed. The food was good. But I’m now left wondering whether we paid a gringo tax there.

Eating here is one of the best decisions me and my family have made when dining out. The moment we walked in we were immediately treated like family members or regular customers. The staff were friendly, professional and kept smiles on their faces. Normally this never happens or it’s temporary and ends once you place your order, but not with these wonderful people. Upon ordering we were unable to decide what to choose due to the wide array of visually appealing options. We eventually picked a few dishes to take home and then the food to eat at Taqueria y Fonda la Bonita. I was prepared to pay a pretty penny for good food but that wasn’t the case. Our total was way less then we expected and they insisted on making the take home orders when we were about to leave (a 15 minute heads up is all they wanted from us). We loved the food presentation and the attentiveness of the employees, but we quickly became infatuated with how good the food actually was. For the first time in what seems like forever, no one touched their phones or said a word☺️. My kids literally cleaned their plates and begged to come back tomorrow. Be sure to put this business on your list of restaurants to visit.

Because the outside of the restaurant appears plain, the interior decoration is surprising in a good way. The tacos were ok. Unfortunately, no flavor stood out. Maybe they were having an off day.

Worse food and experience ever. My drink was supposed to be Jamaica and when it got to me it tasted like spoiled Kool aid. They have pictures of what they offer and when I asked they didn’t have any of it. Then I order tacos they were unseasoned and plain nasty. When I got to the resister the owner/manager charge me for the spoiled drink that I had returned. When I question her about the $2 dollar drink she was very offended and plain nasty. She said I was not even a regular customer and her food and drinks were the best. And to add the cherry on top my total was $18.03. Heck if I know the high price I go to a five start restaurant with better food and experience. Don’t eat here. I recommend San Marcos better, cleaner and for sure season and friendly service. This place deserves 0

Bad service and bad food. $10 for 5 tacos and really small. $2 a drink even can drinks. The waitress didnt even go asked if we need anything. Oh and cashier tried to give less change. McDonald’s $1 menu is better than there food.
