Reviews
Unfortunately, this order was a huge disappointment. The jokbal was completely burned and sliced into many tiny pieces. I’ve tried jokbal from many different places before, and I’ve never received anything like this—it was honestly inedible.
The fried chicken was also a letdown. It wasn’t crispy at all and tasted like it had been sitting for a long time.
Overall, the food quality was unacceptable. I will not be ordering from here again, and I won’t be recommending this place to anyone I know.
Similar prices to most other Korean fried chicken.
Chicken – Rating 9/10
The fried chicken is very crispy on the outside but it’s still moist and juicy on the inside. The chicken is not salty like most places, just pick your sauce and enjoy. Without sauce you won’t get a lot of flavor though. Also, it is less oily than other places.
The Yang-Nyum is really just like a sweet and spicy sauce so it’s a different style than the fried chicken on the menu. You can get both in their combo if you can’t decide. Postmates lets you pick a sauce for the fried chicken but I doubt the kitchen can see it, I didn’t get my sauce.
Tater tots – Rating 8/10
Tater tots were probably the most worth it because they fill up the box with a ton of tots.
Pizza – Rating 8/10
I measured the pizza, it is 12″ with a 2″ crust all around and it’s thick up to 1″ at the thickest part of the crust. It’s a hefty pizza. The sweet potato stuffed crust and topping are sweet and tasty.
The crust is soft, not hard and crispy, so Grandma can eat it. Also it has less oil than traditional pizzas.
Mozzarella Sticks Rating 7/10
These are good mozzarella sticks with lots of cheese and good frying on the outside. You need to use your own sauce though because it doesn’t come with any.
Macaroni and cheese wedges Rating 6/10
Avoid the Mac and cheese wedges. It doesn’t taste like Mac and cheese, it just taste like fried flour.
The key to eat their chicken in their store at its freshest and get their whole chicken with the spicy yang nyum sauce on the side. This way the skin stays crispy. You dip the chicken in the spicy and savory sauce right before you put all that goodness inside your mouth. Oh so delicious and heavenly! Their chicken is good even without any sauce and arrives pipping hot with loads of flavor and juice inside and extra crispy on the outside. And the best part, it is NOT greasy! You can literally eat like 10 pieces and not feel greased out like some other fried chicken.
I cannot say anything about their pizza but remember I tried it before and didn’t like it much. Stay with the fried chicken here folks!!!! Their garlic wings are also amazing and drenched in this amazing garlicky sauce!!
Service is also on point and friendly. Prices is amazing! We ordered 2.5 half chicken, 16 pieces of garlic wings, one whole pitcher of beer, sauces on the side and our order came with radish pickles and salad and it was at a fraction of the price some other places charge. Hands down the best!
Highly highly recommend this place!!!
Quiet ambience and atmosphere which helps to hear conversation.
